McDuff, Drayton, and Ceffalo from yesterday on a few rookies.

They like LB Luc, think he will make the team, and may contribute this year with one LB spot wide open.

They like Lippett, think he will compet for the nickel CB.

They like OG Douglas, think he has an advantage from playing in a true ZBS at Zona State, and see him competing with Dallas and Turner for two starters, at this point.

They have concerns on two young unproven OG's starting. One other opinion was the pressure it puts on Pouncey. Both OG's are very likely to need help. Does Pouncey help to the left or help to the right? I had not thought of that.

You mean Jeff Luc...the linebacker. There is no Luke on the team.

Not gonna lie, I thought Luc had the least chance of making it between himself, Vigil and Hull. I haven't heard the other two mentioned much at all come to think of it.

Thanks for the correction which I did edit. Did not want anyone to think that Finsider and I knew of a super secret roster signing that no one else in the world knew about. :)

I found the Douglas and Pouncey comments more interesting.

I enjoy Finsider as they are former Phins, who have direct contact with the team, and much more than the local and/or national media. There is some sugar coating but, not that much.

Interesting to see lippett potentially start as many thought it was a wasted pick. Kids a great athlete, hope he plays somewhere.

That would be a very welcome development. I'd take it to mean that we have a player who either has or can develop into an adequate guard. I'm not convinced we have that with Thomas or Turner.

I have a really good feeling about Lippett. I think he'll get some significant playing time this year. We'll see.

Yeah, I did not give Douglas much of a shot this year but, having played in a ZBS gives him less to adapt to. ooks like we have a three way battle, and maybe a forth not yet n the roster.

I'm looking at it this way, if Douglas wins a spot, we might have something. But if we're going in with Thomas and Turner, we probably don't have much of anything. My feeling is any lineman who can't beat out Dallas Thomas for a starting job, likely doesn't possess the talent level of a starter in the NFL. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

My jury is out on all three. I want to see how much Dallas has improved, and no one has seen anything of Turner or Douglas vs NFL competition. I'm thinking it's best to wait until preseason games to pass judgement on any of the three.
