Larry Chester, to my recollection, was a real beast in the middle of the old 4-3 Dolphin defenses and was on the PUP list as late as July of 2005 trying to come back from injury. I know he was over weight at the time, some say around 375lbs. My question is, did he just fall off the face of the earth or what? I read most everything I can find Dolphin related. I cannot recall seeing anything about him since the beginning of last season. Any knowledge would be appreciated. Cheers

Last I heard was that he is trying to make a comeback. No luck right now I guess.

tryuign to comeback, but aint heard nothin in a minute man. sorry.

I remember reading where right around draft time he had a tryout or two but nothing happened. I doubt he gets another chance given his age and injury history.

He was a very solid lineman for us.

i miss larry chester the same way i miss trace armstrong

He's gone the way of Timbo and Daryl Gardner.

What about Tim Bowens I heard after he retired he was going to try and rehab the ol back, lose weight and possibly make a comeback.

I guess that plan was scrapped.

He was the man when he was healthy. He had a lot of back problems. I remember seeing him on the stationary bike last year during Dolphins training camp.

yup, thats the last image I recall

That was the last word I remember hearing about him before they did what with him, IR? Does anybody know if players are just released outright from the PUP list? I guess I could solve my naivete' on this one with a little study, but I prefer second hand info. Anybody?:D
