If there was no one keeping track of any statistics, it wouldn't take scouts and experts long to determine that Marino had to be on the short list of greatest quarterbacks of all time. Time didn't exist for him, like other people. The game clock could have been short on minutes remaining. The defensive line may have been bearing down on him. Marino didn't hurry. He was in control, at all times.

Dan Marino threw 100 4th quarter or OT TD's. And even more crazy he threw 72 TD's just against the Jets.

Thats funny Mr 2dahouse. I don't remember seeing you scream at you're team-mates...:D

I dont think he really screamed I think he was just intense and if you were getting paid big bucks to do a job and you messed up he let you know it.

The funny thing is, and this was mentioned in the last DrZ column, was that even though he got on his team mates when they messed up they all loved him. You wont find any of his team mates that say a bad word about the man. He never called out his team mates in the press the way todays a$$munch stars do. He never said a word that even though he threw 5 TDs they still lost bc his defense allowed 6. The guy was a class act. I love how his detractors try and say " he was always yelling". No, he just wanted to win in a way that most of todays athletes will never understand. Could you imagine what a team would be like if everyone on it was as intense as him?

true but not in the "terrell owens" way (you know, where you tell the media and anyone who'll listen that your teamate and starting QB choked, both literally and figuratively). Marino was the Anti-Owens. He was all over players who misread route cut offs or screwed up an audible but I never remeber him telling anyone in detail about the situation or that "his teamates choked". Damn....I hate Terrell Owens...

.....sorry this is a Marino thread. My favorite player above my favorites of all-time.
