As some of you may know, I pride myself in Haiku's. :logic:
Particularly Dolphin Haiku's (Please see my previous posts http://www.finheaven.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2738424#post2738424)
:driveby:
After todays game I was flushed with soo much emotion that I felt it necessary to post my feelings publicly.
(Mods I'm hopeing that this post be made a sticky):grouphug:
Here it goes
Chadwick Pennington
Leaves fall from Zeus, Fantasma
You Play Football........... (I couldn't think anything to put here any suggestions?)
PS it has to be only one syllable

After we can get the last line, I orignally wanted to have it read at half time maybe at the next home game, but I know that that is silly because the players aren't out on the field during half time so it would be pointless.
We need to have Sparano read it to the team in the lockerroom before the next game!!! LEts get on this DolFans!!!!!

How about another alternative

Miami Dolphins
An upstart team rebuilding
Fans need to relax

I appreciate your input, :305TillIDie:but I only need one sylable, but "relax" is two.
I'm sure its not your fault, but I have been writting Haiku's for many years now.

perhaps you can help in other ways,

:bighug:
  • co-pilot my honda odyssey :mysteryma, which i have decked out in dolphins accoutrements
  • joining me in a dolphins drumm circle I hold in the above mentioned honda odyssey :mysteryma in the orange parking lot during warmups. ps - I have an extra set of bongos
  • make eggplant pitas (which I hear relaxes athletes joints during intense activity) to be placed in the lockerroom before games, and help insert pamphlets of MY haiku with the nutritious bites

Huh? I wasn't filling in your blank. I was writing my own haiku.

P.S. I've been writing Haikus since the mid-eighties so get off your high horse, please.

Dude, no doubt you got some skillz, But I think I speak for everyone when I say your haiku lacks that certain..... well its hard to put into words. Let me see if an emticon can do it, yes here we go :artist::pimp:
I like your stuff too though, maybe for the fans though, I write for the team!!

I like your intensity though, and would love to have you help out in the ways I stated. If your more of a game time guy. I think the drumm circle :rimshot: fits you best!!

It's obvious that you don't like to use MY stuff, so I found this
http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/msg/825366900.html

It's a bongo listing in Ft. Lauderdale for a real nice price, and a wicked set at that!

I would be glad to help you out, but the haiku is not worthy of wasting another word.

I appreciate your intentions, and I encourage you to be apart of what I am sure will be a spectacular dedication to our team!

As I told Mr. Guzman

There are plenty of other options to be apart of all of this!!!
  • We could go snorkeling and attempt to net a live DOLPHIN :bdh:which we could be bring to the next home game vs the chargers. I have plenty of tarps and a honda Odyssey :mysteryma for transport.
  • I am close friends to a member of the booster club which works bi-annually with the practice squad. I need assistance in constructing a "pampered chef" gift basket for THE Matt Mulligan of University of Maine stardom, who is currently on the practice squad. You might have the opportunity to meet this athlete if you assist me. He is impressive to see as you can imagine

I think people have got this confused.
So I say this is now OUR haiku, help add to the end of it and it will be a unifying and bonding outlet for all of us fans to embrace

See here's the thing. Your desire to be "artistic" and "intellectual" serves to disconnect you from your audience.

You think that my Haiku lacks that certain something, but the folks who have bothered to check this thread actually prefer mine to yours. You say that you write "for the team" but I don't see your work gracing the season program, the stadium, etc...

So I would recommend that you get over yourself, stop taking your "art" so seriously, and attempt to connect with the common man. It will make you a better artist in the long run.

Or as Beck once uttered, "you can't write if you can't relate."

P.S. I'm a published poet, so put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I don't smoke out of a pipe.....
I sayed I love your stuff.:yourock:
No OUR Finheaven Haiku isnt in the season program or stadium YET, thats what we as fans need to rally around and get happing.

Your stuff is right on, :proud:
but I just think that Tuna would totally dig MY jam.:buddwalk:

But I think it might be a good idea for you to create a new thread for your haiku and maybe it could catch on like WILD FIRE as mine has!!

PS I like your style, lets meet up. do you have myspace!?

:motion:
PPS sorry about that last emoticon, I know it's a little off topic. thats just a good show
