A.J. Feeley will suprise you.

yes it was.....what'd he learn again? I didn't catch that line....was it to get rid of the ball quicker so he wasn't sacked 1 out of 12 passes? That's about all I got from it.

I know some people have gone overboard on the Feeley thing in a negative way. As for me....I've always said I hope the guy plays better then Fiedler because that would mean we've improved that position which is a good thing. However, 13 starts in college and the NFL doesn't show 'proven' or 'consistent' or any other positive adjective that could be used to describe him.

I wish him the best of luck and hope he does well, for his and the team's sake. However, I'm not left with a warm fuzzy feeling with his acquisition and I (as many others) will reserve 'judgement' on his ability until he can actually show it. I think that's fair.

McNabb learns from Feeley while sidelined

Nice article.

I'm about to leave for the weekend, and I tried to find a link to back this up and came up empty handed, but I remember an article last year in which Jay said he learned a lot watching Griese play.

Is Griese the better QB? Or startin material in your opinion becuase Jay learned from him?

He reminds me of tom brady just a better miami dolphin version

I was one of those who read the comments from Eagles fans regarding Feeley. I could not find a fan in that forum post anything bad about him. Everything I read about the guy was good.

If he turns out to be Brady type of QB, then Feeley will be Miami's top gun for some time. Let's give him a chance and see what he can do on the field.

My gut tells me that he will surprise many and take the fish deep into the playoffs. Spielmen I am sure had the same feeling.

oh they all say that anyways....its the political correct thing to say.....just like every press conference every player says i'm just a piece to the puzzle....i'll do whatever they ask....i'm here to help in anyway i can.....blah blah blah....

Did you investigate why he was a 3rd stringer?

I'd rather apologize for the ignorance in that post.

Yea, I did.

Now, i'll school you once and for all, after that, I expect you to be quiet.

He was 3rd stringer, allegedly because Detmer held the ball better.

One of the "richest" (capwise) teams didn't think he was good enough to hire a cheap holder. If he was that good, they would have gotten another holder.

It's funny how the Jets, a team that is obviously better at chosing QBs than we are (compare having Fiedler for years to having Pennington), didn't wan't to give what we gave.

He has started 13 games, in the NFL and college combined. Don't tell me that you have any clue what so ever on how he will do.

He won against crappy teams and lost to the only team with a winning record.

He threw what? 6 Tds and 5 interceptions? geez, what a ****ing starter.

If he was so fabulous, don't you think another team would have gotten him? he is 26.

I never said he would fail, I said I hope he does well, but I'm not jumping on a bandwagon over someone that can only be regarded as a major gamble.

Why would the Jets give up a 2nd for a Backup QB? They had Pennington.. We gave up a 2nd for a STARTER! See the difference?

The difference is he played those games in a high pressure situation and WON! He did something we haven't done...in the worst environment (Philadelphia). Got a legion of fans as a following.....some even wanted him to start instead of McNabb.

You can't discount that this guy could be something special.

I seen him practice at lehigh he is good, and very accurate, i would say more like aikmen, and yes the philly fans want the kid back already i live here and i have to here it everyday, i told them he better not choke now that he is a fin

As long as Feeley beats out Fiedler, I'll be happy to give him a shot.

I hope the guy works out. I'm a homer though so whoever is at QB will have my support - at least at the start of the season.

My beef is that we paid too much. Yeah, I know all the arguements for why we paid a 2nd. But the bottom line is he has not shown enough to be worth a 2nd rounder. 13 TOTAL starts between college and pro's...

He went 4-1 for Philly, a team with a great defense. His stats were average but he just wins games. Sounds like our current QB. Why is this guy better - cause his ears are smaller?

But hey, the guy is likeable and he may be great. It was a move, and we made it. I suppose I would be more upset now if we had done nothing.
