Well, I hope many of the fans have gotten a large dose of reality yesterday. What did you expect? Did you expect a closer game? Did you expect the Dolphins to win?

Now that you perhaps have seen the truth or the light has gone on...lets get real.

The Dolphins are like every other team that has lost it's way...gotten to old or just mismanaged....and it has been over a decade for this to happen...so did you figure it would correct after one off season...one draft?

Look at some of the other great teams of the past..S.F. Oakland...Minn....all teams that have been rebuilding for years and STILL aren't there yet....it takes time and great effort and yes...luck.

Don't expect much from the Dolphins this season and perhaps next year...we all know where the weakness's are...and they wil be improved by the draft and by SMART free agency.

Players and coaches are learning...school is every Sunday...and lets hope lessons are learned for the future.

So stay strong...keep the faith and be patient...and don't expect the impossible...just hope for it.

This site continues to amaze me...So many people just cant get a grip on whats going on with the '08 Dolphins...But through all the stupidity finally a good post.

They Suck, Its True,

Hard To Believe But I Truly Think Last Years Team Was Better

that is reality. yet for some reason, people truly thought we were gonna be a .500 or better team before the season started. if its one thing i hate is when people keep bringing up the fact that we lost 5 or 6 games by 3 points or less. i mean seriously? at the end of the day, we lost those games. and even if we did, wed still be, what 7-9, missing the playoffs and getting a crappy pick, and probably still having Cameron at H.C.

reality is were rebuilding and were gonna suck. but you wouldnt know it by reading the topics on this forum. if the games were never played on sunday, i wouldve swore we were a playoff team this year just by reading all the great news here. "we signed Ernest Wilford!?!? ALRIGHT!!!!"

I feel the same way you do. Keep the faith but dont expect much as we are rebuilding and it will take a few years.

.......... I think Jake looked pretty good in pass pro yesterday. Henne got a few snaps and was able to get his feet wet and made some good throws. Other than that I was embarrased. The D just really looked bad and there were sooo many mental mistakes.

This season is starting out almost identical to last year....close loss in week 1 and a blow out in week 2. Its going to be another long year folks except this year we may actually make history....0-16?

Are you suggesting that we may lay the proverbial egg all season long!? Are you suggesting that we may wind up with the number in the win column that closely resembles a policeman's favorite treat!? Say it isn't so!

Good points. It's going to take a few years at least to get the Fins competitive again because I think that the result of the poor drafts/trades of the last few years under Saban/Mueller/Cameron has been a serious lack of talent. The Fins are really like an expansion team as far as their talent level is concerned. Moreover, a rookie HC is a lot like a rookie QB -- you don't really know what you've got until he plays some, and he's going to look really ugly sometimes.

If it's any consolation ... I'll be rooting for the Fins to be spoilers against the AFC East except when they play the Bills!

The sad part is.. you can't even point a finger at a player and say he stepped up and made a difference. Not a game changing difference. Even sadder is that you really can't even expect one now.

Should be interesting in how this team puts their minds right, and just try and compete.

Very true. this team isnt ready to win. the trifecta knows that, they didnt walk into this situation blindly like some of our fans.

I thought they would be competetive, and I still do. With youth and inexperence there is inconsistence. We have seen it first hand.

I still believe that they will ruin some other teams' Sundays later this year.

This is the part that makes it so disheartening--it's sad beause we have been rebuilding for the last EIGHT years.
