can someone bring up a list of playres Mueller has drafted his entire career?

I am a LITTLE bit worried that we are going to ignore the Defense and build the offense big time.

You are worried that the team is ignoring the defense? They have made NO moves yet. What Mueller has done in the past is pointless. Every team goes into the draft thinking differently based on their need(s) and roster. And with Miami, Mueller had no say in the draft... Why don't you sit back, open a cold one and relax a little...

we'll be fine, with capers running the D and hopefully some FA pickups for the D we will be fine. We need some young offensive players....or at least good ones.

You've got to be kidding me? If anything, we've neglected the Offense!!!

In 2005, we drafted Offense with the 1st round pick. Last year, we drafted Defense. Now, its Offense turn again...

Even when we did go Offense in 2005 with Ronnie Brown..we still drafted more Defensive players than Offense: Roth, Crowder, Daniels, Manny Wright, and Vickerson...compared to only Ronnie and Alabi.

Then, last year we draft Jason Allen, Culpepper, Hagan, Toledo, Lemon, Wright, and Evans.

That's 8 Defensive players to 6 Offensive players.

So this year we need to draft an Offensive guy in the 1st round...and make sure we draft 2 more Offensive guys than Defensive...just to make it even.

So no, you are wrong. We havent neglected the Defense. We've neglected the Offense.

i think he's only worried because of all the talk there is around here about drafting offence... and i do understand him because a lot of us would prefer drafting offence (for many reasons) ... but in another perspective we're only fans,we don't have any clue of what is happening and we sure don't have any control on those decisions so everything that is being said here pal should be ignored because it is useless, powerless, opinion ...

Our defense is gonna be fine! We had one of the best defenses last year!
(Even though is may be getting a little old.)
But In contrast we do have some young guns who are looking pretty good, like Crowder, Roth, Jason Allen (hopefully he developes) and Y. Bell ( I love the way this guy plays with heart.)

The only thing that worries me is our secondary. The amount of INTS and Pass Interference calls was pathetic!

The submitter is talking about the future, not what we have been doing.

Well, we did hire an offensive guru as our head coach, and Meuller admitted in his one on one interview on miamidolphins.com that his forte is offense.

I don't see a need to be worried yet, but it is a genuine concern that we don't go overboard and just focus on offense. I don't see that happening with all the clout and money we are paying Capers, his voice will be heard.

it's wierd, a buddy of mine and I were talking about this earlier today. Actually he mentioned the fact that he felt the defense was not being worked on. He stated we are bringing in good offensive coaches, but ignoring the defense. I told him I would be satisfied with a duplicate performance from our defense as this year. But he said that would mean JT would have to be DPOY again and he doubted it would happen.

I personally think we will be fine on defense.

A little soon to worry about this.

Also, am I the only one who doesn't think our defense needs an immediate overhaul? We've got several young defensive linemen from the past couple of years who were injured or blocked from a starting role, but still have promise. Crowder is a good LB whom I expect bigger things from in the next couple of years, and I'm cautiously optimistic that Yeremiah's season was for real.

We could really use more young linebackers and a playmaking CB of any age, but I don't see the defense as crumbling just yet.

Don't listen to anyone, you should be worried about the D, if we lose the ability to play D were just flip flopping our problems, we need to focus on all three areas. O/D and ST.

I hate to say it but our offense was so piss poor in 2006, worse than 2004 which I love to point out, I'd be OK witrh the defense being ignored. With a more consistent offense and the same defense we'd compete for a playoff spot. I'm not sure if some fans know how anemic, pathetic and inept our offense was, especially if you discard the 5 game winning streak and it wasn't all that potent in some of those games. The offense is the single biggest achilles heal on this team. I laugh when we're in a game knotted at 10 freakin points, the secondary gives up a big play and I come to finheaven and see the defense getting crucified in posts. Nevermind the fact that our offense could only muster 10 points with a 100 yard rusher because the passing game is so bad. Like I've said, fixing the passing game should be the top priority. If nothing else gets done, we would still be much better with an NFL passing game or at least one that is better than the one AJ Feeley led 2 years ago.
