A little levity reading on the Bills forum

They'll be 6-7 if KC hands them their ass. Then the meltdown over there truly begins.

Well, no matter what, I will still be rooting hard for the Bills in that game to upset the mighty Chiefs.

Yes, this will also mean after that game, I will be in the shower for about an hour never feeling clean enough for rooting for the Bills, but if it helps my Dolphins to get that #1 seed in the Playoffs, I will happily end up getting out of the shower with gashes all over my body from scrubbing with brillo to get the Bills stink off me.

With Allen and Mahomes in the same game I hope the refs bring good quality earplugs... failing that low quality butt plugs.

Allen is 0-6 now in overtime. Time and time again, he comes up small in big moments. Stats are great, but if you're a top 5 quarterback you've got to come up big in the clutch.

Buffalo fans like to compare Allen to Elway and Favre. But the one huge difference is Elway and Favre were at their best when it mattered most. That's not the case with Allen.
What would your narrative be if the Chiefs didn't score in 13 seconds and Allen went to the super bowl. He was pretty damn clutch in that game. You take two miraculous plays by Mahomes/Kelce/Tyreek and it destroys your narrative. Allen would be have been in the Super Bowl and possibly a ring. Allen has also done this with a defensive head coach that's a pyschopath. Also, his overtime record has to be looked at which I haven't. I know the AFC championship game I am referencing above, Allen never got the ball. That's such a small sample size of six games and I already poked a hole in one of the games. Allen and Mahomes were scoring so much in that game that the NFL changed the overtime rules for it. Everyone knew whoever got the ball first in overtime was going to win.

I hate both of these teams. I don't hate them more than I do the Jets, but the tolerance is a microscopic measurement of difference.

I'll be watching this game for the doom, just as I'd watch a NASCAR or IndyCar race. I hope that the carrot sticking out in front of these two teams is enough to make them tear each other apart.

Nothing but doom and gloom for
the Chiefs and the Bills.

Can't fault you for that, I also put the Jets #1 on my dislike list, and not a fan seeing either come out of it ok...Maybe we get lucky, and they end up with a tie, which is just as bad as a loss when it comes to the Playoffs.

Allen played phenomenal in that playoff game against Kansas City. He certainly wasn't the reason Buffalo lost. I agree with you there.

But that's been more of the aberration for him. Last year, he essentially was a no-show against Cincinnati in the playoffs after playing an uneven game against Miami. It was a key Allen interception that got the Dolphins back in that game.

This Bills team was consensus top 5 in the NFL by all the experts. Considered loaded on both sides of the ball. I know they've had key injuries, but Miami has played virtually the entire season with at least two starters missing on the offensive line.

Good point about McDermott being a defensive guy. I'm sure Allen would be better with an Andy Reid type.

Dude, that's as bad as the one idiot that called Allen our bitch boy. The guy's owned us, and the division, for what? Four or five years now? He has some turnovers, but if you're honest about it, so has our QB.

And it's not like we can say, "Oh it's the RB or the D that beat us."
I do think he's a top 10 quarterback. And, no doubt, he always seems to bring his A game against Miami.

But, if you're talking which quarterbacks you want with the game on the line, he's down the list quite a bit. There's at least 8-10 that you'd take over Allen.

That's my main point. I don't think you can be talked about with Mahomes if you're not getting it done in the clutch. That 0-6 in overtime tells part of the story. There are too many times when Allen has come up small in crucial moments.

Top 5 is too rich for me as far as Allen is concerned. That's all I'm saying.

He's had one great game this year (against us), he's got really good receivers and tight ends plus a decent running attack. It's his superman brain farts that let him down this season. They can blame the fired Dorsey but Allen is as much to blame for there offence stalling this year.

They have scored 328 points this year (27 ppg). #2 in the AFC and 5 overall. Their offense hasn't stalled this year haha I don't think some people in this thread watch games outside of Dolphins games (which is fine) but come on now.

Who would you take over Allen? Mahomes is about the only one I can think of. Maybe Joe Burrow. The dude has had over 35 passing TDs the last three years. Total TDs have been 42, 42, and 45 the last three years. He scores points. I love Tua but he's gonna have to play great down the stretch to get to 35 TDs.

And again he's done this with a defensive head coach that values his defense over the team. Its why him and Dorsey didn't get along. McDermott tried to neuter the offense. Run the ball and slow the tempo so he could try to make his defense look better than it really was.

After that playoff loss to Kansas City two years ago, Mahomes was the only quarterback I would have taken over Allen.

I saw him as an ascending talent. But his variance in play is more dramatic than any of the other top quarterbacks. You just don’t know what you're going to get and he's had too many bad moments in the clutch.

Since that playoff loss, his game has leveled out. The numbers are great, but it's the close games and crucial moments where he's behind a number of quarterbacks.

Maybe he'd be #1 or #2 with Reid or McDaniel. But, for now, I think you've got to take Mahomes, Purdy, Tua, R. Wilson, Lawrence, Stroud, maybe Dak Prescott, a healthy Burrow. Cousins maybe.

Again, clutch just matters so much. This Buffalo team is at least 8-4 with all the quarterbacks I mentioned.

Now, if it's quarterbacks I want to watch, Mahomes, Allen, Jackson and Hurts are high on my list.
