Pray to the diety of your choice for a little lady luck today boys. We all know how much luck is involved in the draft.
1. Shula was a genius for drafting Marino. He was also lucky to have all those teams pass on him.
2. Arizona got lucky last year and Matt Leinart fell into their laps.
3. New England got lucky when their 6th round pick turned out to be tom brady. They didn't know he'd be a superstar. If they did, they would have taken him earlier.
My point is this: We can overanalyze the draft (it is fun) all we want, but a little luck can go a long way. Personally, I'm hoping that some team in slots 1-8 does something crazy like Buffalo did by taking Donte Whitner. That would push another stud down to #9.
