1. Tennessee Titans: Who let Justin Gage out of his cage?
2. New York Giants: If the Ravens can’t stop their running game, can anyone?
3. Pittsburgh Steelers: After he made that awesome diving interception in the first quarter, didn’t Troy Polamalu deserve that last-second (and incorrectly overturned) touchdown?
4. Carolina Panthers: Is Jon Beason always around the ball, or does it just seem that way?
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Now that Jeff Garcia is leading the Bucs toward the playoffs again, doesn’t it seem even weirder that Jon Gruden benched him after the team’s season opener?
6. Dallas Cowboys: Is this team talented enough to overcome its habitual sloppiness?
7. Washington Redskins: By failing to subdue the Cowboys, did they just recreate a monster?
8. New York Jets: Is Thomas Jones the most underrated running back of the decade?
9. Arizona Cardinals: Will Kurt Warner have a little somethin’-somethin’ for the coach who discarded him, Tom Coughlin, on Sunday?
10. Indianapolis Colts: After the way their last two games ended, is it fair to say they’re No. 10 with a Bullitt?

Just for fun:

Why is Dallas (6-4) 6th?
How can the Redskins (6-4) be the 7th best team in the league ahead of the division leading Jets (7-3)?

Green Bay (5-5) and Minnesota (5-5) ahead of teams like Miami, Atlanta, Denver and Baltimore?

Also, how can New England be 13th over the Dolphins?

Let the heads roll

thats the worst power ranking i think ive seen this year, not becuz the phins are 18th... but because the ravens are ranked that low and the cowboys are that high.. and the pats are 5 spots ahead of us, yet we are favored by 3 points this weekend
total BS, espn power ranking are solid.. and fox favors the dolphins every week

1. Tennessee Titans 10-0 1 With no one breathing down their collective necks, the Titans' challenge is to stay motivated. 2. New York Giants 9-1 2 It's official: No one can stop the Giants' running game. 3. Carolina Panthers 8-2 3 The record says they're the second-best team in the NFC, but their performance raises doubts. 4. Pittsburgh Steelers 7-3 4 The door's open for the Steelers to build a comfortable lead in the AFC North. 5. Arizona Cardinals 7-3 6 Kurt Warner's MVP case gets stronger, but we'll find out just how legitimate the Cardinals are this week. 6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-3 7 An ageless quarterback and a solid defense continue to give this team a shot at winning the NFC South. 7. N.Y. Jets 7-3 8 After taking charge of the AFC East, the Jets have a chance to make a statement about their place in the conference. 8. Indianapolis Colts 6-4 -- Don't look now but the Colts, despite a lot of defensive issues, are making their move. 9. Baltimore Ravens 6-4 9 The Ravens said they'd learn something about themselves from the Giants game, and what they learned is they're not ready to compete with the NFL's elite. 10. Dallas Cowboys 6-4 -- As Tony Romo finds his comfort zone and the defense responds to Wade Phillips' signal-calling, the Cowboys will remain a force in the postseason picture. 11. Washington Redskins 6-4 5 The Redskins need to stop their slide, and Seattle figures to be a good place to do so. 12. New England Patriots 6-4 12 Can the banged-up Pats avoid wilting in the South Florida heat?

Again, how are the Colts 8th? Why is Dallas 10th? The Redskins have lost 2 straight at home.

I would propose that instead of power rankings you re-name them powerless rankings because that is exactly what they are meaningless.

Tell me how a team who is ranked 20th in passing D and no worse then 14th in any of the other major statistical category with several rankings in the top 10 be ranked 20th in most power rankings?

Again, Dallas was a loss away from being done. Now they're the 7th best team in the league.

Blasphemy!

The power rankings I've seen had us at 11 (CBS) and 12 (ESPN). That's fine with me.

And I have no problem with Dallas being ranked so high. That team is STACKED. We all know the reason they struggled the last month, but now they have their captain back. They have scary talent.

I don't think Dallas is better than the Fins.. That is the only thing that bugs me about these rankings.

I'm sorry guys, but I have to agree with these guys and The Patriots being a stronger team than us... Or let me put it this way.. We beat the Pats once this year... but this weekends game really scares me..

If we can beat NE.. then I will argue right along with you all that we should be in the top ten.. But until this weekend is over.. I am cautiously holding my breath and praying for the best.
