Here's a look at Miami's salary cap picture for next year, where we have $150M in contracts. This year's cap is $133M, projected to go up $10-15M next year, plus whatever we carry over rom the $11M we now have. We will not be I ad shape but, will making some moves or sure. A few possibilities.

Ellerbe- We can save $5.6M or, pay him a $8.4M salary.

Wallace- save $2.5 or, pay a 9.8 salary.

Wheeler- save $200. or, pay him a $2.9 salary

Jones- cost $2M or, pay him a $6.7 salary.

Hartline save $3M or, pay him a $5.9 salary.

Finnegen- save $5.5M or, pay hi a $5M salary.

Smith- save $2.7M or, pay him a $2.7 salary.

Mitchell- save $4.5M or, pay him a $4.7 salary.

Many decisions to be made on this year's play, and that of the young guys.

I think Cam Wake could be fair game too....pay him $8.2 million in 2015 or save $6.9 million. I love Wake but he will be 33 next year.

All depends on how he plays. If he plays good to solid I think the team would be wise to keep him esp when they are paying a lifetime backup like Ellerbee that much scratch

I think they will be gone

I think Shelly smith is in trouble unless he establishes himself as a starter soon. With Thomas holding down RG right now Billy Turner could take over the LG spot next year and say goodbye to shelly

I think Wallace stays, your not going to find equal value at 2 million. I thought when he signed the contract he was here through 2015 and then either renegotiated down or cut after 2015. Wheeler is gone either this offseason or next. Ellerbe needs to improve to stick. If Finnegan plays well you keep him as your #2 for one more year, if not you cut him. If Shelley Smith doesn't start this year he's gone. And I'm not sure Matt Moore sticks as the backup...take the 4 mil and roll it into next year and get a backup from final cuts elsewhere on the cheap.

Gibson sticks this year, and I think is trade bait come next offseason. Hartline sticks next year unless he faceplants this year, ditto Earl Mitchell.

I love Dion Jordan, but if they aren't going to move him to OLB at this point, try to get a high 2nd rounder next offseason. He really seems out of place at DE right now....getting swallowed up by Nate Garner is not a good thing.

I could see Wallace extended to spread cap over more years with more gurantee if he performs at the elite level his money calls for this year.

Wake could also likely see a extension for another year or two and spread out the cap with more guarantee.

Wheller and Ellerbe, if they don't ball out this year and show some damn ROI they could both be gone.

Moore is obviously on the edge of getting cut/traded due to his cap number for a back up QB.

unless h does something much better than last year why the hell would you extend an overpaid wr.

Hence the 'if he performs at the elite level his money calls for' portion of my reply...... :idk:

We are also going to need to do some long term deals for Odrick, Clay and Pouncey. I have a hunch Mike wants to get more than Maurkice got recently - there is some sibling rivalry among the brothers - who got drafted highest? (Mike)- who has the most tattoos? (impossible to determine) - who is the tallest? (Mike by fraction) - who is the biggest d*ck? (very close, Maurkice excelled at the birthday bash).

Eh....

Clay and Odrick will get standard salary for mid tier position players. Nothing that breaks the bank.

Big deals will be Pouncey and Tannehill.

Pouncey looks for same deal his brother got. (5 Yr / $44)

Tannehill although Dolphins could pick up his 5th year option at ($13 I belive?), if Tannehill proves he is the franchise QB of the future this year, he won't be playing next year without a new deal, probably something along the lines Andy Dalton got. (6 Yr / $115)

Players I think that will be gone next year are Ellerbe, Wheeler, Smith and maybe Gibson. Gibson only if Laundry and Matthews step up big time this year. There is already a ton of money tied up into the WR position between Wallace and Hartline and Gibson's 3+ million off the books could be nice.

What sucks is the Fins will have tons of money to spend and there aren't any decent MLB's that hit free agency next year. T

Draft 'The President' Denzel Perryman from The U.

MLB - Perryman
OLB - Misi/Jenkins
OLB - Tripp/McClain

Too many unknown factors for me to have an opinion now. Mostly if we are a playoff team.
