The Miami Dolphins have completed their first round of cuts, reducing the roster from 90-players to 75-men.

The deadline for teams to reduce their rosters from 90 players to 75 was yesterday afternoon. For the Miami Dolphins, who started the day with 86 players on the roster, that led to three players being placed on the Reserve/Injured list, one player having his contract terminated, and seven players being waived.
How does the roster look after those moves?

will not be making the club. That is 11 players. Who are the other 12?

You can add Seth Lobato, whichever kicker, Don Jones, Kyle Miller, Garrison Smith, Jordan Kovacs, Jonathan Freeny, and Jason Fox to the list of definite cuts. Fox has shown absolutely nothing thus far.

Not so sure about Jamal Johnson. Think he has a shot to make it. I think other cuts will be:

Daniel Thomas or Orleans Darkwa
Damian Williams or Marcus Thigpen
Kovacs
Lobato
Rogers (if Sturgis is healthy)
Maybe Don Jones
Garrison Smith
Possibly Kyle Miller (not sure how many TEs will be kept)

That would make 55, which I believe is what we need now until Jordan and Jones complete their suspensions. I don't believe they count towards out 53.

Kamal Johnson (6'3" 314 lbs) is a good young undrafted DT from Temple University - maybe a Practice Squad prospect

I think Pouncey is on the roster, keep Brenner, and cut Samson when Mike can play. Landry is not inspiring confidence as a returner. Think we keep Thigpen.

You could be correct about Samson, would rather not have Landry as the returner but there are others on the roster that are possibilities and that also could contribute a little more elsewhere than Thigpen might ie at (WR and RB). What do you think about the other possible returners?
