Good read, sadly this will be ignored by the media who only want to bash the big tough nfl guys

Mike and Mike just read the majority of it on air. The tide is turning in the media. I'm seeing more and more talking heads hinting at the fact that something smells here.

But there is still a ton of Dolphin bashing going on out there as well.

Don't understand the hype about this article. Lydon was teammates with both from April to August of 2012. Last I checked this was 2013. Not condoning what Martin did to this team BUT Murtha hasn't been on the team in WELL over a year. The dynamic of Martin and Richie's relationship could've easily changed within that time period.

It's significant because here is a guy, Murtha, who spent many hours in the room with both of them. He was a backup. He saw how they interacted on a day to day basis in Jonathan Martin's rookie season, when the hazing occurs. He saw how the coaches interacted. He states that the coaches knew everything and I believe it. This is the impression from the fly on the wall.

We still don't know if there was a CURRENT or RECENT incident that may have caused Martin to do this. A proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. The players left in the locker may not even know.

Martin and Richie texted after J.Mart left the lunchroom. Martin said it wasn't anything Cog had done.

Anytime I read or hear the word 'lunchroom' in this whole story, it makes this all seem so ridicules.

I agree fully, and thus far I think that Martin is definitely in the wrong for what he did and how he handed it. Was Richie a bully and a racist? Doesn't appear so. Should he have used the N word? Probably not. But at the same time, me, you, coaches, Ireland, have NO IDEA what may have gone on between JUST THOSE TWO to make Martin go over the edge.

This is true. It's possible that there was some insane psycho stuff going on completely in private. But... Martin sharing the voicemail and laughing about it?

I have been very critical of coach Philbin, but I sincerely hope that he isn't scapegoated for this mess because as more and more information comes out, it certainly appears that if anything over the top and crazy was happening, it was going on in private and Martin concealed it.

It's quite a leap from "Hey, this guy doesn't fit in, figure him out, help him fit in" to "Yeah, Joe ordered a code red, man."

Consider this quote from Cam Wake:

And that resolve is that Incog is being railroaded (I was gonna use another adjective but this incident would do a disservice to our darkest time in our history) and that Martin, picking a phony incident to storm out and then checking himself for a short stay into a mental ward, is either a driver or a dupe whose strings are being pulled in a staged orchestrated scorched earth grab-the-gold scheme.
