Charlie Baggett..... Our assistant head coach. He knows Linahans system, thats who brought him here, he knows our players and what our needs are. I would like to see us keep Capers and give him the defense, promote Baggett to HC, and promote Jason garrett to OC. Then we keep continuity on both sides of the ball. Just my two cents.

I like Bagget as a OC but you know its hard to promote a Wide Receiver coach to HC when he was just a position coach, but I do like Campers as DC and promote Bagget to OC or even Jason Garrett.

What about Mularkey? :D

I really would like an offensive-minded coach to be head coach. And I would like for Capers to stay. But, I don't really know enough about Baggett to make a judgment on whether he's HC material or not.

I would most like to keep Capers as a DC, fire meathead and promote baggette to OC, then hire a guy like Cameron, Caldwell, Wisenhunt, Grimm or Rivera to be HC. Hopefully we could keep that nucleus going for a few years. Solid on both sides of the ball.

Basically, any scenario that contains Meathead getting canned, and a new HC whos not a retread or college coach is fine by me.

we need a brilliant young guy like Mike Tomlin

if a guy is 50 years old and hasn't even been a coordinator, why would you mention him? unless you are his kid or something

If you remember, Linahan was trying to take Baggett with him, but I think because he was already holding the title of assistant HC, that made it at best a lateral move and not a promotion, so Nick denied Linahan permission to interview him. I think we've had enough high profile coaches, I would like to see a young coach who is hungry to make a name for himself in this league...

This is going to be a pretty interesting hire. Huzienga said today that he wanted continuity, how can he accomplish this with this hire? If he hires outside the current staff, whoever that may be will want to bring in his own guys. Maybe a few will stay, but not many. Or does he promote from within, Capers(?) who will in turn, more than likely retain the staff. If Capers is hired, Mularkey more than likely could be retained as OC, a decision I'm sure most of us will despise. It will be interesting in the next few weeks to see what decisions will be made in Davie.

Listen a big part of everything these threads keep ssaying is this. Capers is not going to stay on staff if he gets passed up for heac coach by an inexpereic ned person like Baggett. Capers would be furious and just bolt, showing the dolphins how stupid they were for not naming him HC. The guy who becomes head coach is going to have to be very deserving for Capers to stay IMO, that or at least have a track record that Capers couldn't argue with.

I want Cam Cameron, i'm not making that a secret. I feel him and Capers could form a solid team, but it would take both of them IMO.

I can't argue with Cam, I don't know a lot about him. My main wish is for a strong minded, offensive guy that can convince Capers to stay, and give him full control over his defense. Much like Gruden does with Kiffon here in Tampa. Let Mueller make the personal decisions, and let the coaches coach.

New Coach

I've Heard Rumors Bill Belicheck May Be Available. Supposedly He's Only Under Contract Thru This Season.
