We have a new coaching staff, new free agents and an upcoming draft. It's time to support and get behind this new team. I know what some are saying it's the same ole Dolphins. All I ask is that you give them the opportunity to get this team turned around in the right direction. Some of the brothers will say John we saw your posts in a thread responding to brother dlockz. I apologize for those comments brother. It wasn't my intention to tell any fan how to be, or what there opinion should be, but my intention was to stand proudly behind our team and give them an opportunity and support they need to succeed before we shoot them down or say they are the same as the 2015 Miami Dolphins. I have seen many ups and downs since becoming a fan in 1970. I am still here supporting my team through the good and bad.

May we have a great 2016 season and draft!

Have a great weekend, and Happy Easter!

John

If Miami got it right with Adam Gase then the biggest question is solved. Lack of quality coaching has held this team back since Don Shula left.

It will be interesting to see how Gase puts together this team in the draft. I don't see it as a one year fix, which could lead to some interesting picks. Will the team put its money where its mouth is and emphasize physical, tough, smart players? I definitely think the team will look quite different in 2016.

I believe we have an above average quarterback and pieces here and there. Why not be optimistic?

Im excited as well. Every year is new and this year is even more special with the coaching changes. Glad Im not the only one who sees a glass more than half full!

Great post FFIC, happy easter

I think the key this year is patience. Gase said himself that our offense is going to evolve as the season goes on. It is going to take time for EVERYBODY on our offense to understand the various nuances of our system and until they do, Gase won't put them in the game plan. Hopefully our coaches will be great teachers and our players fast learners, so it won't be too long before our offense is running at peak efficiency.

John, I agree with and support what you're saying, and no matter what, I stand behind and support my Dolphins.

I do not mean to be Debbie Downer, but is this not like the 8th new start we have had in the 17yrs.

It is a fresh start. Outstanding OC who is now HC and will call the offensive plays. Not uncharted territory, but will be new for him. There is going to be evolution in that regard to him. Our new DC is held with so much regard the Bengals wouldn't even let him interview for the DC position with the reigning Super Bowl Champs. This time I hope Ross got it right. FA so far is much different than past seasons but I like it. Hope they do well in the draft and maybe pluck another cb and og in free agency.

Happy Easter everyone.

After the draft we'll get a better idea of what next season is going to look like but as others have said I always get behind the team regardless once the season starts.

Have a happy Easter everyone

Iam still a diehard fan rather they are 16-0 or 0-16.Just hope this is truly a new beginning.

We're all passionate about our football team. We all want the team to be great again. Ever since Shula retired, and subsequently Marino retired, there has been a shroud of uncertainty with this team.

Aside from a stellar MVP-caliber single season from Chad Pennington in 2008, Ryan Tannehill has been the best quarterback for the Dolphins since Marino - but that still hasn't been enough. Poor coaching and talent acquisition has failed this team time and time again. It feels like we're on a parallel path with the Cleveland Browns since their franchise restarted in 1999, despite more (ultimately meaningless) wins. Some people are optimistic about this latest regime - others are not. The goal is the same, however - we just want our ****ing team to win again.

Lifers of Dolphins football - those who have been around since the 70s, who saw the glory days of Shula, Griese and Marino - they have a certain expectation of excellence for this team, as they should. I myself am a younger fan - I started following the team religiously in 2004, a season where the team won 4 games. I'm a lot more used to losing than winning when it comes to this team. I was at the only Dolphins playoff game of the past ten seasons - which was, unsurprisingly, a loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

We're all tired of the restarts, the "new eras". There's been a lot of those since Shula hung it up in 1996. The most we can ultimately hope for is that the Dolphins finally hit it big on Adam Gase, and we have our coach of the future. Throwing around terms like "a young Don Shula" for Gase holds a lot of weight - despite perceived low expectations, behind the scenes I believe expectations are high for Gase, especially from Stephen Ross.

It has been an unorthodox offseason for sure - but after the past few offseasons, of the "big splashes" and Jeff Ireland's "LIKE A BOSS" disaster of 2012-2013, perhaps this is the best way to operate.

It sucks dealing with this again, but we got to. When we finally see Adam Gase and his coaches (reminder: he has some of the best assistants in the league brought in for this team) in action in August, and later on in September, then we shall see if we're in business.

Miami Dolphins - #1 in our hearts, even if they're #32 in the NFL. :brewskis:
