I must say that if today was any indication to this upcoming season, wow!
I was under the impression that we would have a soft start this season (1-3) while the team slowly got it together.
Boy was I wrong. There were some unnecessary penalties, especially in the first half, but damn! The D was strong! The O was pretty solid. Everything seemed to start going our way. I was never a Gus supporter but today he showed heart, especially when blocking for Chambers on that great reverse play. JT once again showed that he is a premier DE in the league, especially with that 'icing on the cake' forced fumble to finish the game. Crowder made his presence felt. Zach, as always, was all over the place, in on every play. The O-line held up well. Ronnie, while not spectacular, showed promise in his Pro debut. And Roth, pushing Plummer...priceless!:evil:
I know one games does not make a season, and that we still have 15 more games ahead of us, but I've got a lot more hope now for this season. It's only week one but we've already won a quarter of the games we won all of last year. Goodbye '04. Goodbye AFC East basement. I can't wait to see what happens next week!
