ok of course. like everyone else, i was absolutely upset when i found out about that. but my dad told me something. he said he saw some article about how peyton doesnt like marshall because he drops it too much and has issues off the field. so im guessing last night this is about what the dialogue was between them Peyton: "ok joe, im going to get straight to the point with you, i'd love to be a miami dolphin, but theres one player in the team who i could see having an issue with how smoothly things run, and i want him gone." joe:"ok, who is that?" Peyton:"brandon marshall, he has too many character issues and he drops it too much. if you trade him or get rid of him i guarentee you i will join the team. and ill even bring along reggie and maybe dallas too. so what do you say, do we have a deal?" Joe:marshall will be gone before the sun sets again, promise, welcome to the miami dolphins!" maybe something like this happened? i dont care what happened, i just want peyton

No. This trade has been in the works for a while now. This isn't related to anything Manning. This is just the front office thinking this is somehow a good football move imo. These are the kinds of moves teams make when they want to rebuild, except they're not even trying.

A rational explanation would be we're making room for Wayne and Manning, but rational is almost like a pipedream with this team. Plus Manning is meeting with Munchak and the Titans tomorrow, so he hasn't made his mind up.

Sigh. I think a lot of us wish this was the case. But I doubt it. Manning will sign with Denver I believe. Dolphins will sign Flynn. This offseason has been a dissapointment so far. Lets hope it ends on a positive note. We need a good FA period and draft now to get out of the basement of the AFC East.

Even that is very wishful thinking at this point. Many teams will go after him when this Peyton Manning thing is over. I can see us completely overreaching for Tannenhill at 8.

This has probably been coming, that's what I believe. Too many dropped td's, catches. His Pro Bowl MVP crap does not impress if it does not help Miami get to the playoffs. Then again, maybe it impressed the Bears.

Or maybe it went something like this...

Ireland - Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh...... mmmmDuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh......

I replaced your reason with "Jeff Ireland is a dumbass" in my mind when I was reading it.

.
There were people that didn't want Pennington hanging around because allegedly Henne could never step up and develop into a leader with him in the building. So we bring in a Dungy-like coach to try and install a modern offense--but he has to deal with a PITA WR who throws barbs at his QB and roses to the QBs of other teams.

Be serious. Marshall never wanted to be a part of this new regime, and he made that pretty clear through his passive-aggressive remarks through the local and national media. You can't have BM in the building if you're handing the reins to Philbin. It makes no sense and it won't work. When the new coach speaks, there can't be a voice of dissent undermining his authority. The FO made it's decision; its riding with Philbin. Troublemakers can get on board or GTFO.

That's fine. What's not cool is creating a new hole to fill and getting hosed while doing it.
