Could this be a sign that the Dolphin FO actually has some legitimacy?? Getting this pick signed 4 days BEFORE the draft. Brings a tear to my eye that Miami FINALLY has some football/business minds up there. It's been over a decade!!

I couldnt agree more! I cant imagine how messy this would have been with Wannstadt and Speilman running the war room. You would have heard. With the first pick in the 2008 NFL draft the Miami Dolphins select........Xavier Lee QB FSU. Wouldve been bad! Kudos to Jeff Ireland and BP for targeting someone and getting him signed quickly and neatly.

Totall agree - blows my mind how the #1 or top picks hold out of camp. Camps start in May and these guys miss all of the offseason workouts and mini camps. This is the first I remember Miami getting a signed early or really serious about it. This gives Sparano and the OL coach a chance to work with JLong from early on. You can't beat having Beck and your top OL guy now working out so early - when did that ever happen before. This team will certainly be more focused and may surprise a few.
