Watch closely during the press conference in whcih Feeley is introduced (assuming of course, the deal goes down as scheduled). Watch in particular for the answers to these questions:

1) Will Fiedler have re-signed by then? If so, will he be at the press conference as well?

2) Will Feeley be introduced as a starting quarterback?

3) How many times will the word "competition" be used?

4) In what terms will Dave Wannstedt speak about Feeley?

5) How will Feeley respond if the issue of a QB competition is raised?

6) Will Armando Salguero say the words "quarterback controversy"?

7) Will Wayne Huizenga appear out of nowhere to slap Armando Salguero?

Watch closely, Fin fans. Ponder.

will Dan Marino be there to announce he changed his mind and returning as SVP :goof: ?

It hasn't been scheduled yet (deals can't be announced until tomorrow), but I was assuming that after the deal was announced, a press conference would be forthcoming.

God I could practically already write the Press Conference Transcript and it hasn't even happened yet.

Here's some real winning bullet points to salivate over.

"Any time you get a chance to improve depth at a position, you have to take that opportunity"

"Competition at any position raises the level of play"

"Everybody on the roster has to earn their starting spots every year, and quarterback is no exception"

"We look forward to getting everyone out their into camp, and seeing what Feeley brings to the table"

"As a football team, we feel we are really close, and as I've stated before in the past, don't judge us and our offseason by what you see in March. Judge us by what you see in July because the whole process spans that long"

"We're excited about the addition of Jay Fiedley..err, A.J. Feeley to this football team."

The real question I think, is not how many times the word "competition" is used by Dave Wannstedt, but rather how many times the word "depth" is used by him.
