A question for those who actually live in the Miami area.

Me and my sister could go to games in the 70s including playoff games for 22 bucks, this included 2 tickets, parking, a program, and one hot dog, and we dove from west palm beach for every game. We would get the tickets from a record store that I can’t remember the name of….damn I’m old
Tower Records?

I used to get my various tickets from Ticketmaster inside Tower Records stores in the eighties and nineties.

Can’t just leave a cliffhanger like that.

Who got to eat the hotdog?

Announcers estimated 40% of the fans at the stadium were Giants fans.

I also remember back when TV "blackouts" were a thing, TV stations often had to buy up remaining unsold tickets so they could show the game.
I HATED that... when i was a kid I'd grab the miami herald every Thursday and pray I'd read that the black out was lifted or probably would be due to TV station buying out remaining

Even if I still lived in SoFLA, there's no way I could afford to go to a game. It's a wealthy person's activity now. The NFL's completely lost sight of the average fan.

They haven't lost sight. They get billions from broadcast rights for/from the average fans to watch on TV.

They haven't lost sight. They just crunched the numbers.

Yeah, they have their sights on $$$, alright. But that doesn't contradict what I said: GOING to a game is for wealthy people, not the average fan.

The NFL is no longer family friendly. Hasn’t been for a long time. They need to take on the MLB model.

If it didn’t cost so damn much to go to a game versus the comfort of watching from home then it would probably be different. IMO tickets should be cheap if your trying to get butts off the sofas and AC and into 100 degree heat indexes on hard seats
