I have seen film clips and analysis on our lack of running, which are great, and posts saying that we have to run more. I have to wonder what Lazor would answer, if he was being honest, as to why.

I'm just guessing that he may say that 4 of the 5 guys on the OL are now worse to much worse than a year ago, and Pouncey is about the same as Satele so far. He may add that we do miss our TE's run blocking from last year, which was surprisingly pretty good, and now have less than nothing. Miller's health and no second option to run could also enter in.

Does that make sense to anyone?

he'd say you go with what's working

I think Pouncey has actually been playing pretty well...better than Satale last year but he's the only one. James looks to have taken a step back...I hope it's not another case of Vernon Carey who was very solid at RT then had to play LT for a season and when he returned to RT he was never as good. Douglas has never played on the right side and he's still learning, I'm hoping he gets better. Left side of the line though...I don't have much hope for until/unless Albert gets in shape and returns at least close to form. Dallas Thomas is who he is...been seeing it for 3 years now...guy has no business in the NFL IMO.

It's only been two games but we don't seem to be improving...we were worse running the ball against the Jags than we were against Washington and Washington has a better defensive front. Washington is actually the #1 defense in terms of yards right now in the NFL.

Albert was thrown in last minute and has been terrible. Fox was the better option, who I do not like. James has a new guy next to him who he barely has played with. Add in no TE blocks and you can't run right now. It takes time.

James is getting beat to the outsides on running plays. He is being overpowered. That has nothing to do with a new guy playing next to him. I cannot say he is worse than last year, but I have not seen the improvement I was expecting.

I am giving James the benefit of the doubt because it was basically one game against JAX where he was quite poor (as the rest of the whole line)... so we will see how he continues his season.

Douglas we all should agree is being thrown into the starting mix and is out there learning through mistakes and experience... and basically is doing a decent job for a rookie. Lots of work though ahead!!!

I agree fully with Datruth, I think Pouncey has been playing well... I am glad to have him back at C, he is looking good, and I am looking for him to become even more of a leader of that unit. SPEAK UP!!! WORK THEM!!!

Albert... he is trying, just cant do it yet. As Ive said in many posts... slow and not able to get the proper angles yet, getting beat inside easily. he just isnt fully healthy most likely, and definitely isnt fully fit to play a whole game (or even a quarter?).

LG... its a mess with Douglas... its a mess with our depth. its been quite poor, which isnt going to help Pouncey of our LT at all either. maybe they themselves are lacking trust in our LG.

Fox.... i am scared to have him starting LT, especially after watching him play against JAX... easily getting destroyed often, and nearly getting Tannehill killed from the backside.

well... on to Buffalo, one of the top DLines in the NFL!!!

Clay and Sims were able to offer some help last year, and it really did matter.

Satele had one of the best starts of all lineman last season at least for the first 8 games
according to PFF he allowed 0 sacks,2 hits and 4 hurries compare that to

Pouncey allowed 1 sack,0 hits,6 hurries
Thomas allowed 0 sacks,2 hits,9 hurries
James allowed 2 sacks,8 hits,11 hurries
Cooledge allowed 5 sacks,2 hits,4 hurries
Albert allowed 3 sacks,1 hit,5 hurries
Smith allowed 1 sack,1 hit,4 hurries
