A rational article by Greg Cotes

Sorry Greg...don't you read finheaven?

We're 1-1...same as Seattle, New England..better than the 0-2 Saints....but it's over.

Time to gut this team again...declare it failure and start talking draft.

Yup, that's exactly what needs to happen. Philbin is to weak minded to realize that. I wonder what our owner thinks of philbin surrendering the half like that?

For me, it's not a matter of the record, but the matter in which we lost against the Bills. I know they're a bad match for us, but they made the phins look silly. It was an embarrassing loss. The phins weren't even competitive. In the offseason of 2013, I was screaming PLAYOFFS!!! This offseason, I felt the same but held my tongue. I'm tired of being so enthusiastic each year, just to watch things crumble slowly but surely. I'm just deflated.

As we mentioned in the last thread, it's too soon for the team to blow it up. But my expectations for the team has declined significantly.

I can't argue with much of anything in that column or even what Philbin and the Dolphins said about the end of the first half. If Tannehill wants the team and players to believe he can make something happen there, he's got to give them confidence that he can make things happen in less stressful situations. Playing it the way we did worked well. We didn't lose the game because of that. We came out and dominated the third quarter and would have led had the special teams not broken down on the kickoff return.

Does that mean the FH pessimists in trying to disprove Einsteins definition of insanity are actually proving it?

I wonder if all of the Patriot fans were ready to bench Brady after the first week of the season? I mean his stats looked pathetic, he was throwing scared and only put 10 points on the board all game after we had 3 turnovers. Let's face it. Our D matches up well against a pocket passer and not at all with a mobile QB. Sammy Watkins is a freak athlete (whom they fed all day) and Spiller has some crazy wheels (whom they used in every aspect of the game but defense). Our D only gave up 1 TD, even after we kept giving them great field position on every possession. We need to get a few more guys healthy, work out the issue of not being able to hear the QB on the road, spend some extra time with the jugs machine and clean up our special teams. The season is not over, it is still early with a new offense and a new OC.

It seems this article was written to attack Philbins decision to end the 2nd quarter early.. Might I remind you all, this is not the first time he's told the team to only play 58 minutes in a game

Honestly that was perfect. That's what I have been trying to say in other threads, we are 1-1 & just last week we were phrasing Philbin for his 2nd half adjustments no there are Fire Philbin threads & bench Tannehill it's CRAZY. Let the season play out & then judge. NO team & QB will be perfect every game.

Most truthful part of the article
If this is the season to learn, once and for all, if he is the long-term answer, then let him loose. Tannehill, unleashed, is the only way you find out.

Time to take the training wheels off for good, treat the guy like a fully grown NFL quarterback, and see where it leads.y

Just let Tannehill go let's see what happens, he should be able to audible out of the run plays let's find out. 3rd year is big for him even though I believe brees took 4 years to even look like a pro.

True, but I was wanting Philbin fired long before this week's game or last weeks for that matter.

I will say this, even if i'm not sure it'll come to pass, but you learn more about your team after a loss than after a win. Do we have the character, and fortitude to learn from this and become a better team? we'll find out. I'll continue to question if we have the coaches and the talent to sustain a winning streak, but you do have to take it one game at a time.
