I've been burned by the dolphins so much over the years that I'm extremely hesitant to get excited about a big win like yesterday because in years past we'd almost always follow that up with a Loss. So this year I've found myself a bit skeptical to what I'm seeing on the field. HOWEVER.... looking back at the entirety of the season so far.... We are ONE FUMBLE RECOVERY Away from having a 4 game stretch of beating GreenBay, Chicago, Jacksonville and Chargers!!! I know we didn't, but knowing that this games often times comes down to luck.. If we fall on that fumble caused by I think Cameron Wake on Aaron Rodgers on that final drive, we're 6-2 with 4 quality wins in the books and probably the talk of the league. Every win (including a game where we didn't play well in Jacksonville) has been by double digits. I'm used to eeking out wins 17-14 on last second FG's. I truly believe that this team is headed in the right direction. Even if we don't make the playoffs this year, if we can play consistent football on the offensive side of the ball (I think defense is proven to be solid) eliminating games like Jacksonville where we have like 4-5 consecutive 3 and outs Going into next season I think we'd surely be a playoff team and maybe a AFC east contender. This is all assuming we can keep all the core players and COACHES.

I understand your feeling but 5 out of 8 games is very realistic and attainable. My only worry is not with the team but the entire AFC a a whole. 10-6 may not be enough to get you in the playoffs in the Afc this year.

Before the season started I never really thought 10-6 was a realistic goal.. i was wrong... unfortunately i dont think its enough this year :(

One of the biggest areas of improvement is our yardage differential. We are gaining 60 more yards than giving up. This is the best we have had in 25 years
This is a really good sign

10 and 6 is still not a given either. But it can be done. We need to keep that same intensity the rest.of the way. We must beat the jets twice and the vikings too. We also have to beat the bills at home. If we do that we still need one more win to get us to 10. Beating the luons would be a good start.

I actually had that debate with myself last week. Would I be pissed if Miami finished 10-6 but missed the playoffs? On one hand yes I want them back into the postseason. But on the other hand, it's hard to argue against a 10-6 record.

I'd prefer them to be 11-5 with a playoff appearance of course but it's a conundrum nonethelesss.

Was looking at the standings and man... AFC is close!

Pats 7-2
Broncos 6-2
Bengals 5-2-1
Pitt 6-3
Colts 5-3
KC 5-3
Bills 5-3
Fins 5-3
Browns 5-3
Charges 5-4
Ravens 5-4

Its wide open honestly.

Pats are pulling away with the division but we are still in it, plus wild card.

we pla like we did yesterday and we finish 12-4, 11-5. team was DOMINATE. to me the next 2 games are the season. lets get both(lions & Bills) and head into Denver for a tough one. followed up with a Monday nighter at giants stadium. HUGE stretch coming up fellas.

If we make it to 10-6 and not make the playoffs I'd be ok with that, assuming we have all of our major concerns coming into the season answered. 1. is Tannehill the franchise QB we need him to be? If he's not, I don't think we win 10 games so if we do, i think we'll have the answer to that question.

2. After I don't know how many years... Is our oline finally solidified?

3. Can Will Davis and J. Taylor eventually replace Grimes and Finn, both of those guys are older and I'm not sure how much longer they can play at a high level.

4. Can D. Jordan play OLB. I don't think crack the starting lineup at DE until wake retires. But we have an need at OLB.... can he fill it?

Last and probably the second most important thing I want to learn from this season is.... will Bill Lazor return as OC next year??

If We have positive answers to all of the questions above and we miss the playoffs on a 10-6 record. I'd be very confident that we'll make the playoffs next year and possibly contend for a SB appearance.

We lose the tie breaker with KC. We must beat the bills.

Bills and Chargers December schedule is brutal for both.

Key games to me are Buffalo and Baltimore. Pittsburgh seems to be hitting highs like us and maintaining. Cincy to me is overrated because Dalton is overrated, but there tie is what will help them against all these teams with 5-3 records. Its how GB got into the playoffs last year with a 8-7-1 record.

oh and of course Patriots and I do think we could beat Denver with a clean game.
