Since the Jills and our Fins are the ONLY real terms contending for the division crown, and with the draft talent and the UFA players (for both squads) in place...for the moment, what does your really early viewing of your crystal ball tell you, as far as, end of season records for both squads.

Of course, this is just FUN guessing!!?

the predicate of your question seems quite optimistic. i don't even understand where you are coming from. there is zero reason to believe we are in the same class as the bills. and there is little reason to believe we are in a different category than anyone else in the division. some of the vegas sportsbooks have the pats ahead of us already. we would have lost to them in the first game last year, if not for the missed toe tap of a rookie WR that stinks. we should have lost BOTH games to the jets last year, and we would have, if their kicker could have only kicked the ball into the end zone for a touch back. sometimes i feel like i am in an alternate universe reading some of this stuff. we are ranked about #20-#21 in most of the early season power rankings that are out too. so my crystal ball says the OP suggests you might be living in an alternate universe where the dolphins were actually good, and have a secondary, and a culture, and a gm, and it is also teams and not terms!

Fins aren't contending for the division. They will be lucky to be over .500

What do you think, above .500 or below at the bye (week 6)?
Need to see the schedule first. I'm hoping we have all our NE and Jets games in the first four weeks. Then I think we might be over 0.500. That would give us our traditional "we have a chance" feeling before the season collapses at the end.

You think we are a serious contender for the division? Lmao

Well said!

Did Buffalo not need a 61 yard FG (after a 15 yard penalty by a former Bill) to squeak by us in the last few seconds of the game? Do you really think they are going to take us lightly?

Was Miami not up 31-0 against New England?

Did the Dolphins not finish 6-3 (really 6-2) last year? Only losing to only some of the best teams in the league (on the road)? But ya, Aaron Rodgers was able to outplay Tyler Huntley. Let's see Justin Fields outplay Tua.

Did the Dolphins not address their biggest flaws on offense?

Has Tua ever had a losing record? If your positive he's going to miss significant time and that's the basis for your opinion, fine, understandable. But if your going to say a Tua lead team won't compete for the division, that's just non sense.

I think 1. McDaniel needs to have some serious answers/adjustments on offense, or else things could go really south. 2. The obvious: Tua can miss no games. 3. Curious to see the defense in its second year, but man CB could be a problem. 4. Safety will be curious, too.
I'm thinking they fall between 6 and 9 wins, but the schedule matters. (short weeks, back to back road games, cold weather games in Dec/Jan are going to play a part)
If Tua plays in every game, and injuries don't otherwise destroy this team, I could see them topping out at max 11 wins. There is talent on this team. But I do think 6 wins is probably the floor. .... I say all this trying to be objective as possible.
If I let my emotions into it, then the answer is they'll lose 14 games.

Chop Robinson should be an even better player this year.

Bradley Chubb should be able to give us something additional we just didn't have last year. I saw a video of him the other day doing some drills and he looked pretty good.

Jaelen Phillips, zero expectations there at this point so if he can stay healthy, its just a bonus. I'd prefer he not play the first half of the season.

This team is not good. With a bad draft added in am not sure we don't finish last in the division.

Bills are the team to beat.

NE is a team that had alot of youth with an up and coming QB.

JETS had easily the best draft of the whole division. They got some damn good player. Also to add a whole Management we will see where it goes in the 1st year.

Miami I would say probably the least talented team in the division overall. It will be a battle between us NE and Jets for the scraps of 2nd place

depends on the schedule. If we can get off to a good start then we could be a wilcard team. Slow start and weaver will be head coach in november. Need another corner maybe two. I like the roster so much better than last year. I predicted us to miss playoffs last year.
Feel better about this year. Really depends on tua health and pass rush
