Well...maybe so....but Michigan does have a state income tax.....so Detroits offer will have to be about 5% higher than Miami's just to be equal.

That is about 5 million dollars on a 100 million dollar deal.

Also.....Detroit has more elite players getting paid already....and ones they have to take care of yet....that makes offering Suh 105 million + prohibitive.

Then you have the fact Detroit is not a great city anymore, and does not compare to life in South Florida.

But...be negative if you have to, I see us landing him.

Lions are as out as Ellen Degeneress.

Raiders have been his destination the whole time and he is using miami to take away every dime the Raiders have stockpiled.

All this Suh is a done deal was put out there by SUH's PEOPLE and Suh went to miami first and set up camp and let the planted info do its thing on the raiders.

Done deal? Contract in place? Then why accept the Raiders visit? Because its not a done deal. They will throw Miami's contract at the Raiders will give him a rumoured 18 mill a year and over a hundred mill deal with 70 mill guaranteed!!

The Raiders can and will offer Suh a miami busting deal that can overcome the income tax demand.

I fell for the Suh to miami thing for a couple days but when Suh accepted the Raiders invite in the midst of the miami is a done deal talk, I started to wince and after surfing the sports sites and boards last night and this morning there is a BUNCH of talk about the Raiders and giving it all up for Suh that miami will never top. And it immediately made sense.

Pretty good strategy by team Suh. Not good for Ross though. More lost the big one egg on his face.

If that happens, how many years in a row is that now where some FA's have used us to get an offer only to take it down the street as a bargaining chip to get the $$ or location they really want?? Our FO keeps falling for it year after year. I was just starting to warm up to the idea of him coming here. But now with all the reports of us looking at other options and now other last minute FA's (only to have them sign or re-sign with other teams), is making us look like the bungling fools we have been for years in FA. The only big FA splash we did make, we overpaid and now he/we want him off the team. Ugh!
