A roster question and comments about our RB's.

What about Heath Evans, the FB? I'm thinking he'll make the team, and take up one RB spot.

My hunch is that Kay-Jay Harris and Minor will be cut, and we'll have the following RB's on the roster during the season:

Ronnie Brown
Ricky Williams
Lamar Gordon
Sammy Smith
Heath Evans

I think Morris and Minor will be cut. They will count more against the cap and I believe are the older players. We may keep the younger players to develop and because they will count much less under the cap in the long run. Is there really going to be much of a difference? Whoever we keep will probably just be a ST player and occassionally relieve Ricky, Ronnie or Lamar.

Kay Jay Harris had a huge fan club after the draft, I think he's this year's Fred Russell. Lamar Gordon is the most likely to be traded, but how much value does he really have?

Past his prime? He's younger than Kay Jay Harris.

My thoughts on minor is this. He's stronger now than he ever was, but his game has never been about strength. He doesn't make people miss anymore. His play has flatlined. He was just a better player 3 years ago. Has nothing to do with age.

I think you didn't read the whole post. I was wondering who would be our RB's while Ricky is suspended.

There has been quite a bit of talk about Jax possibly trying to get Gordon. I would take a conditional 4th at this point(with LOW escalators that could make it a 3rd or better). If Gordon is traded then Harris is definately staying on the roster, I have a feeling if we drop him to the PS he would be gone quickly.

Where do I sign? I would do that deal in a heartbeat although I really don't think Del Rio would do it. On the other hand, if we showcase Gordon in preseason and he turns some heads than maybe there's an outside chance.

I would even take a lower pick as long as its conditional, like a 6th that becomes a 4th if he plays in 8 games, and becomes a 3rd at like 750 yards.

I'm not sure that would work. I don't know of many teams that would, even incentive based, give up a 3rd for a 750 yard rusher. Heck E. James couldn't be dealt for a 3rd this year, or was that a 2nd. I can't remember.

Honestly I was just throwing out numbers I didnt really think it would work, 750 was just the number that popped into my head.
