...... Jeff Ireland!

Were one player away from completely ridding ourselves from the "FAILbin/Ireland" era, and we all know who that player is.

Reading this, is just infuriating ... and shows just how clueless Ireland was as a GM. Proof how a "draft class" can really set a team back (even for a little while), when you have total incompetence in the front office.

Here's the article for anyone interested (bring a barf bag)

Easily the worst first 3 rounds in Miami Dolphins draft history. It is not close . . . especially knowing we traded away a legit starting CB in Vontae for a 2nd and used a 2nd to trade up for Jordan.

The 4th round ended up decent.

Fact of the day - Tannenbaum's coffee boy was very highly involved in that draft process

How is this even possible ? We had the most money and all the draft picks you need to build a team- a team with a young QB!!!

I still cant decide who was the worst pick ... Jordan or Thomas? Jordan has been BEYOND a bust for us, hardly even stepping out on the field ... while Dallas Thomas, I swear to god, may have been the worst O-Lineman I have ever seen in my life. If I really think about it, Thomas left more damage ... the fact that Ireland and "FAIL"bin's coaching staff couldn't see how awful he was and kept him in the lineup was just disgusting ... and because of their incompetence, were still trying to fix our O-Line, although I think its happening slowly but surely.

I was so happy when Gase finally rid us of Thomas before the Pittsburgh game last year ... that move, turned me into a believer of his ... and the Dolphins have gone 9-3 since Thomas was released. Nough said.

Jordan.

Thomas at least had his head on his shoulders and worked as hard as anybody . . . he just didn't have it. That happens.

Jordan has all the god given talent in the world and just wasted it. . . . and cost us an additional 2nd rounder because we traded up for him.

Still not sure who was worse between Spielman and Ireland. It's close.

Vikings Spielman is the best of the group . . . Dolphins Speilman is the worst of the group. Ireland is much closer to the Dolphins Speilman.

Good point ... it always hurts when your 1st round pick turns out to be a waste. I guess I could give Dallas Thomas a "microscopic pass" for effort, but man was he AWFUL! He just simply couldnt play ... everyone knew it, except dumbass Philbin and idiot Ireland. It just drove me nuts watching him play.

Actually there are 4 holdovers from the Ireland era - and with the exception of Misi, an argument can be made that the rest are pretty damn good: Rashad Jones, Ryan Tannehill, and Mike Pouncey. So you must be referring to Misi I guess :idk:

You're correct ... I was really basing it on this draft class, on how Jordan is the only "holdover" left. Thats who I meant.

But yeah ... Tanny, Reshad, and Pouncey are "hits" that Ireland did manage. I guess its just easier (and more frustrating) to remember all the "misses", because he had so many.

Water under the bridge.

We have Adam Gase at head coach because those guys failed.

And, they brought us Ryan Tannehill.

We're even. We've made so many bad draft picks none of them matter so long as we hit on our 1st three this year.

Don't trust these guys much more than I ended up doing Ireland:

Actually it's not too late to share all the scouting info with JJ, the guy who drafted JT and ZT and commi$$ion him to draft the LB and/or DE

I trust Grier ... not so much Tannebuam, although he has made some good moves thus far this offseason. He needs to keep doing it.

Nice mention of JJ ... I always thought he got a partial bad rap, and wasnt really appreciated for who he drafted here (ZT and JT like you said).

I've been around a long time, Finheaven loved Speilmans dumb trades at the time. If I had a nickel for all of the "Rick does it Again" threads.......We actually thought we fleeced the Rams when we traded for Lamar Gordon. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
