Cheers to everyone that responded to my 'Best football stadium' thread - LSU it is!

Anyway, here's my tale of woe:

August 2002, me and the boys took a holiday (vacation) to Miami - obviously I was extremely excited at the prospect of seeing Pro Player in the flesh after having been a HUGE Dolfan since '86. Now I knew it was the off season, so we decided to go the Marlins v Yankees game, the only problem being we had no idea what time the game started - we dont follow baseball!

After trying to find the stadium we finally arrived (about 8pm I think - not sure). The outside of the stadium was most impressive and we had a great time posing for photos with the Dan and Don statue's. Then it was time to enter, a moment I had dreamt about (even though it was a Marlin's game) for
16 long years!

Then, to my shock horror - the security guy at the gate refused our entry as the game was about to end in 10 minutes!!! I told him we were from England and would love to catch a glimpse of the stadium and that we were even willing to pay the full price to get in as we wanted to take photo's - and the guy said 'No chance - leave'

So now all I have to look at are photo's of the outside of Pro Player! It makes my blood boil as I am writing this!!!

Man that stinks Teenwolf, you need to plan better...like during football season !!

Teen wolf i can understand your pain. I went to san diego 2 years ago to see the dolphins only to be turned away from san diego because of the fire. we didnt find out until we were 40 miles out side San diego. I was pissed. however i was lucky they played the game in Tempe where i live. Mabey you will get another cahnce to see Joe Robbie Stadium.

Damn that sucks. Stupid security....power hungry fools who want to do anything they can to make themselves feel big!

Yeah, that was called for. If you travelled overseas to see something and were turned away, you would be pissed. "Sorry sir, the Eiffel Tower is closed...sorry you came all this way".

Read his post and maybe you wouldn't have to ask moronic questions and look even more foolish...they said they had no idea what time the game started Einstein

I actually got into the stadium when there were no games going on, see we went to the stadium to see if we could get in to take a look, but the security wouldn't let us, and we told him that sucked because my uncle's brother, went to syracuse and was a huge Csonka fan. The security guard then got weird and started like worshipping my Uncles brother, he must have thought because he went to syracuse he had known Csonka personally, so he let us in the stadium and gave us a photo of The Zonk, and he told us not to go to the upper level but we did anyway, while my uncle and the security guard talked about old Csonka games and highlights.

Most stadiums let you in for free when the game is almost over...that sucks...but I still liked the Orange Bowl better.

Whya are you commenting twice if you thought the thread sucked CC?

Sorry to hear that story bud. That would hurt. Too bad csometimes rules and policies stand in the way of common sense. The guard should have given you the nod.
