this has been covered already. It violates a law - the NFL is not allowed to show any games after 9 p.m. on friday and before 12 p.m. on sunday (or something to that effect)... it interferes with collegiate games.

So, what you are saying is, BY LAW, the NFL cannot have nationally televised games on Saturdays. So, there have been NO nationally televised Saturday games in the NFL in recent memory?

during the NCAA season no games are allowed to be televised on saturday i think. I don't think it's a LAW, more an agreement the ncaa/nfl have made.

After the NCAA footbal season is over, the NFL can schedule/televise games on saturday... If you will recall, ALL saturday games for the NFL are late in the season.
