PICTURE PERFECT!

Kinda far-fetched but hey, anything is possible...

So there is ONE way we could win the division even if we lose to the Jets, assuming we win against the 49ers and Chiefs and finish 10-6...

The Jets would need to finish 1-2, with losses to Buffalo at home and @ Seattle.
Buffalo- Trent Edwards should be back and they are embarrassed as a franchise. I smell upset!
@Seattle-Jets are 0-3 playing at west coast sites. Seattle almost beat the Patriots last week at home. If Hasselback is back, upset number 2. Jets finish the last three games of the season losing atleast 2. :)

The Patriots would need to lose 2 out of 3, or lose 1 to the Bills.
@Oakland- Another good pass defense. Against Pittsburgh, Cassel struggled. And their defense is playing bad so who knows. Plus long trip to the west coast.
vs. Arizona- Too much offensive firepower for that defense. Arizona should win this. Finally get a big win on the road.
@Buffalo-Bills go out strong with Edwards playing well versus Patriots bad defense. Weather will be bad and the stronger running game wins this. Patriots finish last three games at 1-2. :)

Incorrect. If we lose to the Jets (and assuming the Jets lose their next two, first) then we would still win the division if the Pats lose only to the Bills.

We'd be tied in head-to-head games, division record (3-3), and common games (7-1) -- but we'd remain a game ahead of them in AFC record (7-5 vs. 6-6).

I don't expect the Pats to lose to the Bills, especially if their season is on the line.

oh wow.. nice.. didnt know that

I think theres a possibility Bills could win that game. Dick Juaron's job on the line. Plus, in the bitter cold and snowy conditions at Orchard Park, ANYTHING is possible. From a strategic standpoint, I'd say the team with the better run game would have a huge advantage and that would go to Buffalo.

blah, blah...

C'mon bro. The picture perfect ending is we win the division by winning out and going 11-5 with a beat down of the Jets in the final week of the season, thus crushing the hopes of every slimy, rotten, green SOB Jets fan.

Although, if your scenario occurred, I'd still smile.

Before this past week I said that the Bills will determine who wins the division. They play all three division teams in the final four weeks and if they beat anyone it will be a huge detriment to that team because of the division records. We did our job in beating them but now hopefully the proud franchise of Buffalo can rally the troops and get some unexpected victories.

As much as I would love to beat the Jets in a do or die week seventeen game, I would love it more if we have clinched a spot. It is obvious that the team is being very careful with the running backs and trying to keep them fresh. If we could use week 17 as a rest up week it would be huge, conisdering we will be playing wildcard weekend with no bye. I imagine Cobbs would get most of the carries and I would get guys like Jake Long, Pennington, Porter, Ferguson out of the game.

Picture perfect would be winning our first round game and coming to Nashville for 2nd round. Or the AFC Championship... Lets take it one game at a time though. 49ers first.

The only way we clinch before week 17 is if the Pats and Jets both lose their next two games. The same is true for the other two teams: 0-4 by the other division leaders is the only way. So that looks highly unlikely.

If it's a late game, Miami could clinch before kickoff if the Jets have lost two, and the Pats lose to the Bills earlier in the day. Also probably not happening, but slightly more likely I suppose.

They stayed out on the West Coast this week since they just played the Seahawks.

The Fins, Jets, and Pats are all favored by about a touchdown on Sunday. Like last week, I am just praying that the Fins win, and 1 of those 2 lose. If both somehow lose, money in the bank.
