Just got done watching Dan Marino Heart of a Champion which TIVO recorded for me off ESPN2 last night. And like the title of the thread says, I had goose bumps almost the whole time.

It was so awe inspiring watching him again, seeing that footage from the 80s and 90s... Hearing John Madden call him the closest thing to a perfect passer there ever was... Listening as Drew Bledsoe talked about how no one could ever duplicate his abilities while watching footage of the Marks brother scoring TD after TD... Watching him thread the needle OVER and OVER again or gun the ball with Laser Guided accuracy for a 50+ yards touch down bomb...

Damn I miss him.

yep he was a different QB. All the talk up here in WI is that Favre will play long enough to break his records. That is crap. Marino had to throw the ball 30 yards to get 30 yards, not throw some dumpoff or screen where the rec does all the work. Never be another Marino!!
Glad we had him for his career!

Seriously though, if watching Ace made you teary eyed, then DON'T watch this special. You'll be curled up in the fetal position weeping like a homless orphan in the rain by the first commercial break.
