Well no kidding, Most rookies have to develop, very few come in and play like seasoned veterans......how could they?, they are not experenced professionals.
Where and when we draft a quarterback is all dependent on how the man in charge views the quality and value of the players at the point in the draft that they are available.
History clearly shows that the draft for all positions is a crapshoot, sometimes you hit and sometimes you don't, no one is ever or will ever be perfect at it.
History also shows that finding a championship quarterback can happen in any round, or even among undrafted players, but it also shows that the odds of finding one are greater in round one than all the other places combined.
The key, as always, is if your going to draft a QB in round one, make sure you have a solid conviction about the QB's abilities, and that the value is there versus drafting elsewhere.
