Let me preface this by saying that I really hope and believe that Henne will succeed for this team on Sunday and into the future. I really hope he's our guy. But, lets just say, hypothetically, that he is awful to a Ray Lucas degree for the rest of the season. Parcells is two years in, Pennington's done, the heir apparent turns out to not be the guy, and he wants this team in the playoffs before he retires. What would he do and where would he turn? And the guy I keep coming back to is Tony Romo. There seem to be major questions in regards to whether he can handle the pressure that goes along with being the "Quarterback of the Cowboys," and many are calling for his head already. He's got a history with both Parcells and Sparano, and I can just see Bill calling up Jerry to see what it would take. Not saying I want it to happen or I don't want it to happen, but if Romo's "struggles" continue and Henne doesn't pan out this year, I could easily see our top 5 or 10 pick going to Dallas for Romo. You heard it here first.

Not No but...well you know the rest...this team already has enough celebrity drama. We don't need him coming to Miami, hooking back up with Jessica Simpson, they break up then she becomes part owner to spite Romo...next thing you know she'll be doing commercials asking if Dolphin is fish or chicken!

I was thinking the same thing after the Giants game.

But I'm sick and tired of taking cowboy retreads to be quite honest.

Tony Romo creates publicity and sells tickets. Absolutely no way Jones is getting rid of that.

The minute they start getting in fueds with wideouts or dating singers, as well as gun slinging it around with complete disregard for winning the game, sure.

Romo is Favre/Cutlerish. He is an exciting player to watch, has alot of deep throws and jaw dropping moments...but is ultimately inconsistent. Why people here would want that is beyond me, but then again with the recent history of begging for Pennington being cut/Henne loving then immediate hating/demanding the firing of the men who got us to the playoffs/longing for John Beck/desire to Jeff Garcia/yearning for various criminals/need for emo whining QB's with big arms and bigger interception totals/and defense for previous regimes draft busts, nothing that gets posted on Finheaven should surprise me anymore.

I tried to make it infinitely clear in my post that this wasn't something I necessarily wanted to see happen, just something that seemed like it could happen based on our situation and the situation of the Cowboys and Romo. Guess I failed. So I'll reiterate, I'm not necessarily in favor of this move. Its just a situation that I could very easily see playing out. I had no intention for this to be a "Trade for Player A" post. I just wanted to be the first to suggest that this might happen so that when it happens in April I can bump it and have you all tell me what a great NFL mind I am.:hump:

Don't forget about the fans who whine about other people's posts and/or opinions. I'm just sayin....

I actually think Tony Romo is one of the most overrated QBs in the game today. And he's done nothing so far to prove me wrong.
