The problem with Ginn lies in the eye of the beholder, the ones who think he should be a number 1 purely because of draft status. Ginn wasn't a number 1 WR in college, he was a utility that exploded through defenses in special teams and on offense. We have basically eliminated his ability to be explosive on special teams and he's now on his 5th QB in 3 years.
The kid has a chance to be a solid/exciting number 2 but since we have no #1 it will continue to be a struggle. He has a role on this team and hopefully after riding the pines for the last game he'll bounce back with a solid night against the NYJ.
Comparing him to different WR's in the league does what exactly? Helps your argue that he sucks I guess! There's no telling if Ginn was in Indy he wouldn't be exploding on the field, there he'd be the 3rd option like Garcon is. Defenses worry about Wayne first, Clark 2nd and therefore allowing single coverage to everyone else. Garcon took advantage of a great situation. Ginn doesn't have that same great situation just like TO is struggling in Buffalo because of their offense and QB. Now Ginn isn't TO but you can see how a great WR is struggling for success in his environment and Ginn is struggling here. Henne changes everything once he gets real comfortable in the pocket and with our WR's timing wise, this will take 4/5 more weeks working with the starters for the first time now.
Point being let's not give up on Ginn, he could help us greatly going into the future. This doesn't change the need for a #1 WR next off-season.
