That sentiment with respect to Grier is certainly not the consensus. I was watching the NFL Network and heard Casserly give a low 1st round grade to Lock, qualifying his opinion by saying that Lock has tremendous upside.
Then Casserly was asked to comment on Grier's pro day. His opinion was that Grier was not impressive and was most likely a 4th round pick. I trust the Dolphins to pass on Grier, despite his surname.
I think it's safe to say Miami will select a QB in the 2019 NFL Draft. I just don't think it'll be in round #1. If they start trading back and gain extra picks in the 3rd/4th round, I'd think it's a safe bet they could target one of the other QB's. Will Grier at #13, NO WAY JOSE'!!!
This may be in the Dolphins favor. If a team falls in love with him and he is there at 13, perhaps a trade back and acquiring extra draft picks could be in the works.
