It’s Friday, and all 61 players inside the Dolphins locker room are thinking the same thing:
Cut-Down Day.
No, not the 53-man roster cuts. That happened two weeks ago.
Weight cuts.
And if you’re not light enough on the scale, you’ll be lighter in the wallet.
Since the offseason program began this summer, each Dolphin was assigned a target weight by Evan Marcus, the head strength and conditioning coach.
The players have to weigh in each Friday. Every NFL team has some sort of weigh-in, Greg Camarillo said, “but some enforce it probably a little more than others.”
The Dolphins? Oh, they enforce it.
