DE J. Taylor Thinks QB Culpepper Will Be Fine
Greg A. Bedard, Palm Beach Post - [Full Article]

During a fund-raiser for his charity foundation, DE Jason Taylor defended QB Daunte Culpepper, whose future is in doubt as the team talks to veterans Trent Green and David Carr. "Daunte just has to hang in there. I know it's tough to see them looking at other quarterbacks and the things that are being said, but if he can get past the mental part of it he'll be all right because I think physically he'll get there. Daunte will be fine."

What else would JT say? Is he going to say his teammate is done and he cant wait until he's cut? I hope Pep will be fine but JT's not exactly an unbiased source.

you cant take someone on the team's opinion....whats he gonna say?

"it pisses me off that daunte is here. i wish we had a different qb" ?

What do you think he is gonna say in front of the media? Culpepper sucks, physically he may recover, but mentally he will never be the same, and can't cut it as a starter anymore.

What JT said, does not give me a warm fuzzy about Pep. I just don't trust him to get back and lead this team.

Here is a great opinion coming from one of the most respected players in all of sports. I tend to agree with this opinion from Jason Taylor on Culpepper

Good for JT.

However, I don't really care. JT's not a licensed medical professional. JT's also never suffered a complete knee blowout, so he's not speaking from experience.

JT's speaking from a motivational standpoint and that's it.

His comments have no impact on the situation whatsoever.

its kind of like twhen a trainer says this horse is the best ive ever had in my stables. What else is he supposed to say about someone who is still on the team? JT is a class act not one of the big mouths like porter, he only says what he should say.

its not his decision. I never understood why anyone was interested in a QB who has been labled POOR DECISION MAKING since high school. If he didnt play at ucf against high school level opponents he would have been mediocre at best and the more complex defenses would do exactly what the NFL defenses do to him. Confuse him.

Who cares what Taylor thinks....he's not a Doctor, trainer or even the GM.

that's rediculous....Taylor knows C-pep better than you, he has to play with him.

JT was so upset after the last game there were rumblings he might retire. If he was that upset and cares that much about winning why wouldnt he call him out?

No one bit their toungue on Ricky but they accepted him back and taylor minced no words on Merriman and had to play with him on the pro bowl.

Taylor is credible and your opinion isnt.

If someone who sees C-Pep preform on a daily basis is enthustiastic enough to give his approval I would most definitely take his word.

So by JT getting upset over a game, it makes him an expert on what it takes for C-Pep to get back to playing well?

Man some of the logic on this board can get frightening. Again, Taylor's not a doctor. Taylor's never suffered a career threatening injury, nor has he torn 3 ligaments in a knee. Anything he says is coming strictly from the "teammate" perspective.

I just have to laugh. It's like the guys who claim "God wanted us to win." That's the same logic as if we should all take JT's word for the DC situation.

Jason Taylor has always been a class act and for him to say anything other than what he did would have been out of character for him.He says what a team leader should...can you imagine if he would have said(even though it may be true)What the hell was Saben thinking bringing in hop-a-long Daunte?
He even stunk up in Minny before he was hurt.I think in a foot race Marino would beat Daunte today!!
I only wish I could go up against Daunte my sack totals would break the NFL season record in one game and as far as his mental capacity for the game... Daunte has problems with "DEAL OR NO DEAL" HE KEEPS SAYING TRUE OR FALSE!

This has been a joke and in no way shape or form do I feel that Daunte is a cripple imbecile...untill I see him in action this year...then the final determination will be made.
