A winning QB on the bench

One thing is obvious.A.J can't win if the defense perform.Stop with your BS and face reality.A.J Feeley is not better than Jay Fiedler.Having a better arm doesn't make you a better QB.

I will as soon as you do, deal?

Aj isnt better? because you say so? Yeh it is cool to give your guy 4 years but if it isntyour guy he gets 2 games and go back to your guy? AJ =inexperienced growing in a new offense with 9 new starters, Jay = 4 years in an offense that never had more than 4 new starters in any one year in his 4 years and never produced better results all things considered.

Just because Jay was the QB does not definetely make him responsible for all the wins. So from your pre school analysis, Dilfer and Banks were responsible for the 2000 Ravens going to the SB and winning it right. Open your eyes.
I never said he was soley responsible for anything, so please do not put words in my mouth. The Ravens had a phenomenal D, which is just a bit better than our D has been. Dilfer is much like Jay, gritty, and did what he needed to do to win. The game plan for the Ravens was play D and don't make mistakes on O. Mistakes like throwing picks for 6 like AJ.

And Jay doesn't throw picks? Please, we may have similarities, but the Ravens have an OL we can dream of. Big difference when you can protect your QB and open holes for the RB. Sage would rock if we had a decent OL. AJ is doing pretty damn well when he's not scraping his body off the turf.

What exactly do we have to gain by playing Fieldler??? Hes proven hes not the long term answer and we have pretty much no shot at the playoffs...why not let our QB of the future work out his kinks...does that sound so bad???

QB of the future? If we want our future to suck!

Actually he's thrown a few picks and overthrows when he wasn't being rushed.

if this is our qb of the future, at least we won't have to wait 5 hours to see what wrong pick the f.o. in the draft, we'll be going in the first fifteeen minutes every year!

I think some of you may get your wish, because I think Wanny might go back to Jay this week vs. the Jets. I can see it already, if and when Jay stinks up the place some of you will be posting to put in Sage.

The ONLY reason Jay won was because he handed the ball off to Lamar Smith and Ricky Williams 30 times a game. A.J. has nobody to hand off to and nobody to block in front of him.

You can count the games that Jay won with his passing on one hand -- possibly even a couple of fingers. Jay lost more games than he won when we were forced to throw.

like it or not, jay did his job, and that was to caretake. keep the team in position to win, and when needed, make plays to win the game. in other words, don't f it up! and jay ws a good caretaker more often than not. and that's al a.j. has to be, and he can't even hack being a caretaker. two pick-6's, 6 turnovers in 3 games, these are things he's doing on his own. feeley is a bum plain and simple, and if the fins want to win any games, they better give jay back the keys.

The 2 QB are bad

The only reason he did was because of the threat of Ricky so defenses would protect the run more than they did the pass, thus less pass protection. And Fiedler still played horrible even then. Now there isnt a run threat so they play the pass more. Believe me, Jay would throw picks on every throw now.
I think nither Jay or AJ will play well with this OL, both are bad, AJ can play cith this OL, but I don´t think I see a diference with JAy, maybe he can gain 3 or 4 play a cupole or yards runing, but I think without runing game when he throw the bowl he shuold havea lot of Int like AJ....

I Think I stay one more game with AJ and if he play as bad as this game I probably wantto see if JAy can do something, butI don´t think sow

You fail to realize that there are no counter-points to 41 wins. That really happened. And Jay was QB for all of them, whether we had ricky, a better line or a great D. He was the Capt. of the ship and earned veterans respect. You tring to discredit that to push your own agenda of AJ is not valid.
Jay may have won 41 games for us, but he's also singlehandedly been responsible for AT LEAST 10 losses with his dumb mistakes...the guy is one of the worst qb's i've ever seen in the clutch.

Wade Smith has a winning record too, should we put him back in? I hate that people bring up team records for a QB. Its ridiculous, football is the ultimate team sport. Jays time is long done with, I never wanna see him on the field for us again.
Don't forget the winningest Center of the last four years...Tim Ruddy.

Clearly Tim just won ballgames.

Doesn't matter who the quarterback is with this O-line playing like it is, Fiedler had two pics and a QB rating of 8 in the first half against Tennessee........nuff said

Dolphin fans hitting rock bottom start to experience dimensia! :roflmao:

Jay was 1 problem not a positive.
Wannstedt is the other problem.

1 problem is down and the other will be gone at season's end.

Yep I agree Jay was a cretaker, as long as the defense was carrying it weight, the rbs were avg 3.5 yds a carry or more, Jay was fine, he dint screw anything up too bad, he did throw ints, but not ones that cost us. Trouble is if those aspects were not present, Jay couldnmt raise his play to a higher level. Can AJ? I dont know.

One thing we can all agree on, whoever plays, this offense needs to gel and begin playing better.
