Hey Everybody,

Can anyone confirm something for me ? I was talkin' to a buddy and he said Brooks is being benched for the rest of the season. Does anyone think Mueller might go after him ? What would we need to give up ?

We have enough trouble getting qbs who throw ball in the right direction to throw the ball to the correct team. We don't need to bring in a guy who struggles with throwing the ball in the wrong direction
 
As long as we don't trade for him, I'm sure he is no worse than what we have at QB right now.

I hate that logic. I'm sorry, but why settle for a QB becuase "he isn't as bad as what we have right now"?????

There was a telling stat about Aaron Brooks last Monday night IMHO. The Saints are 0-105 when trailing by x amount of points ( I think 7 or 10) going into the 4th quarter. Brooks has been there starter for 5 or 6 seasons, I think. What does that say about his abilty in the clutch and leadership ability??????? He's a bum and I don't understand why anyone would want a QB who has less 4th quarter comebacks then are very own Sage Reosenfels.

How many comebacks has Frerotte brought us back from in the fourth quarter down by 10 points. I was saying it would not hurt to look at the guy if he was cut. I said don't trade for him. Brooks is no worse than what we have and that is reality. This is Brooks worst season and his QB rating is the same as Frerotte tearing up the league as our QB, now that is a sad *** fact.
 
Aaron Brooks shows flashes of brilliances followed by weeks of poop smelling antics.

Dude, you haven't watched Brooks play, I can tell. He's the poster child for streak player. He gets hot, or he used to, once in a while. He follows that up with INTS by the bushel.

Living down here, I get to hear the guy interviewed all the time. He is D-M-U-B (yes, that was intentional, and from a Ramones' song BTW).
 
Also back to your take on Aaron Brooks at least he has started for some years unlike our QB that has just bounnced around the league until he found a team bad enough for him to start for. If he was a fighter he would be called a trailhorse. Journeyman is also acceptable.


How many teams have cut or did not resign Frerotte. Hmm Detroit , Cinncinnati, Washington, Denver, Minnesota and now us and of course we have figured out something the other teams have not. At least most of these teams realized he was not a starter.

What would you call ramming your head into a wall to celebrate? Would that be the opposite of dumb?

I guarantee that Brooks is not as dumb as you think. University of Virginia is a pretty tough school with high academic standards.

OK, but Frerotte hasn't had nearly as many chances as Brooks to engineer 4th quarter comebacks. At least in Miami. Not to mention, Gus is playing for a first year coach with new players, for him, and is just getting comfotable. Also tons of drops have affected him. Brooks has played with a pretty good cast and has accomplished NOTHING. I don't like Brooks at all and don't ant him in Miami. Yes, I would take Gus or Fiedler over him.
