I'm old enough to have had the pleasure of watching Marino from his first days as a Dolphin,
and I must say, Aaron Rodgers has a similar quick release on his passes.

This is just an observation on the mechanics of his throw, nothing else. It's like breaking down a golf swing.
I'm not saying he is better, or he will have more records than Dan, just stating that his release is very similar.

If you're watching this Indy game and you saw the TD pass, you saw Rodgers just flick his wrist, just like Dan used to do, and he gets the ball there before the defender turns his head.

I can't think of many QB's since Dan's days that had such a quick release.

Man...he really seems to have total command of that offense...to the point where it looks effortlessly for him. I’m trying to figure out if he is that good or are the colts that bad on defense?

Rogers is good...but Dan shattered the record books creating a new standard that today's QB's aspire too.
I agree with you, he may be the best in the NFL right now.

Of all of the modern QB's, he is the one that for some reason brings back the Marino flashbacks for me as well. I think it's the way he plays the game, the quick release, how he steps up and has the huge games, etc...

I like Rogers but he can't carry Marino's Jock.......we will see if I have a different opinion in 10yrs......

Marino's release is way quicker..Rivers release is almost identical to Marino...Rodgers release is more over hand..Looks kinda like he is throwing a baseball..Rodgers is a great qb..If he stays healthy he will be a first ballot HOF

Aaron Rodgers couldnt bust the bubbles on Dan Marino's piss.

Marino may be the best passer ever, but he never got the one thing he wanted and Rogers has now. Unfortunately that is the standard for QBs.

I loved this guy in 2005 and if this website had archives that went back that far.....you would see I advocated drafting Rodgers over Ronnie Brown.

Just imagine how pretty we'd be sitting right now if we had pulled trigger.

listen guys im one of the fortunate ones to see ALL OF MARINOS GAMES guess what ? i have every game he ever played on tape i recored all of his games all but 2 years and that was when he was a rook and the year after . but to the thread rogers isnt even close to Danny there was one guy and one guy only there is none left as of now that had the release or even close to Danny and that was Jeff George he was compaired but Marino still had the quickest of all time and IMHO there isnt any in the NFL that is compaired to him .
