I also think Rivers will end up having a Marino-like career. He's been putting up huge numbers and may end up without the ring, too.

listen guys im one of the fortunate ones to see ALL OF MARINOS GAMES guess what ? i have every game he ever played on tape i recored all of his games all but 2 years and that was when he was a rook and the year after . but to the thread rogers isnt even close to Danny there was one guy and one guy only there is none left as of now that had the release or even close to Danny and that was Jeff George he was compaired but Marino still had the quickest of all time and IMHO there isnt any in the NFL that is compaired to him .

Wow, I thought I was a dork taping all the Dolphins wins in the '90s. Still have'm too. Just waiting to get them converted over to DVD.

I'm HUGE fan of Rodgers game, but the only thing he's got over Dan was mobility. Nobody could sling it like Dan could.

To this day, I still have yet to see a QB stick the ball in places that Marino did and exhibit the confidence he did while doing it.

People just simply do not know how great Marino was. He played in a different era when defensive backs were NOT called for pass interference for not turning their head around - there were no 5 yard bumping rules - SO MANY rules that are in existence now that favor the offense were NOT in place then.

And with scrubs like Brian (take years off of my life) Sochia as our nose tackle, with Marino on our side we could go into ANY stadium against ANY team and Marino alone kept us competitive in EVERY game. I went to bars in San Diego to watch the Dolphin games in the late 80's and 90's when the Dolphins were regular producers of 8-8 and 9-7 and 6-10 seasons. But Marino, week in and week out, year in and year out was INCREDIBLE.

Rogers would be considered a poor quarterback on those Dolphin teams. Those teams with Rogers as QB would be 2-14 or 1-15 and he would not even be thought of or remembered in any way in the annals of the NFL...
