I have not heard anything regarding this, who thinks the Pats will sit their starters for at least the majority of the game? I kind of hope they don't because I have tickets and I am extremely excited to see the Dolphins play and I would rather see a 100% legitimate game then one thats kind of lop-sided, even if it is in the fins direction..

They will all play the entire game. Except maybe assante samuel and Bruschi. They are still playing for the #3 seed. They get it if cinci loses and the pats win... That would mean they wouldn't have to play indy till the AFC championship game, instead of a week earlier.

I don't know about that. I mean, for the most part, this game really doesn't mean alot to New England. They're in the playoffs, they're hosting the game at home...I don't think that New England really cares about who they're playing, just as long as they are in. I suspect that new England will do the same thing that indy did this past week and rest their much banged up team to have the starters for the playoffs.

Since new England has gotten alot of their starts back, they are starting to look alot like their old Super Bowl Champion team. I really don't think they's jeopardize their chances in the playoffs by risking the health of thier team in a game that doesn't mean alot to them...imho

I'll be there too, hope they all play cuz i don't want to here any crap from anyone if we beat them about how we won against their second string.

Weather it is an "important" game or not NFL teams almost never sit starters unless they are nursing an injury and want to give it more time to recover. The fans wouldn't stand for it, and the players would rather be in the game anyways.

Think about it, they want to be out there increasing their stats. That's their leverage for trades and larger salaries next year.

I think they'll play their starters becuz the 3rd seed is on the line. But they will probably be quicker to pull them if they went up by a large amount (not going to happen though). Hopefully they play their starters, because this will be the true test of where we are as a team. 4 of the 5 teams we've played on our streak haven't been winning teams and San Diego isn't a playoff team now. So this will be a huge opportunity to find out what team we really are against a quality, playoff opponent. And most importantly if the Patsies don't play their starters and we win, then everyone will try to discredit the win because the starters weren't in, blah blah blah

So what was up with that JETS game? if the third seed isn't important then why play your starters all game on MNF? I think al michaels said it best last night. Belichek doesn't care. Whether its a playoff game or a preseason game they play the same way all the time. Full speed ahead. Kinda what saban said when he said the score and the standings don't matter. If there is a game to play then you play it with everything you got and, you win that thing!!!

They will rest anyone who is injured, but everyone else will get time. Flutie didn't even coem in till they were kneeling it...

But it would also mean that they have to play the Steelers instead of the Jaguars in the wildcard round. Nevertheless, they will play their healthy starters.

As a few have said, they are still playing for the 3rd seed, so injured folks won't play (Bruschi, Samuals, etc), but I would expect the majority to play most of the game unless they blow us out early. Bellichek has a history of not sitting his players anyways...

there should be rule about that, after all the regular season isn't over till its over.

What I'd like to know is have the Pats ever played Miami down here in the winter and why not. Its sort of a handicap for the Fins to have to always play up there in the bad weather and with the 12th man (the fans) plus the questionable Refs.

I know what you mean but im really up for the Pats game. We have had some bum refereeing crews this season but weve rallied and defied them. We are on a roll so the Pats better not take us likely. If they do then they are in for a shock. The 12th Man Pats fans will not come into it if we get a lead on them. Brady hates playing against JT and we have NFL leading stats regarding sacks. If NE want to rest some of their players then let them i say but whatever team they put out i want the Fins to beat up on them in their own back yd. 7 straight wins will do just nicely going into next season.
