I don't think there are many people on this site like this. By the way, I'm a long time lurker first time poster, but it really boils my blood when I hear so called Dolphin's Fans say things like:

"Trent is back, No wait, Gus is back, or is it Daunte? Chad Frickin Pennington, are you kidding me? I just cancelled my NFL Sunday Ticket. I have no desire to watch another washed up qb start for the phins. If Parcells gives up on Beck I think it is time for me to give up on the phins." (From Palm Beach Post)

Sure, you're entitled to your opinion guy. But to me, the Dolphins are much more than this season, or this regime. Its been a lifetime of ups and down and if I was assured that we would stink for the next 5 years...I'll patiently (angrily with frustration!!) wait for the sixth season to relive our past glories.

I believe in my HEART (not in my head) that the Dolphins will pull off a miracle and win the Superbowl EVERY YEAR! This year is no different. So no matter what, I am never ever giving up on the Dolphins (unless they move). It's like my uncle Steve that keeps getting arrested--we're still inviting him to thanksgiving dinner when he gets out. We're waiting for the day he turns it around we, but're not giving up on family and I'm not giving up on the Dolphins.

On a side-note, my opinion on the QB saga is that the Cam plan wasn't that bad--it seems to be the normal formula, he just went about it horribly. You get the best veteran while you develop your young guys. I see no reason why, if Pennington is better than McCown, that we shouldn't use Pennington while our two young guys develop (or show us that they are busts). In fact, I say next year we draft another 2nd round QB or even a first rounder and have him duke it out during Pennington's second year with whoever is left (in my opinion: Henne).

Fans who talk about giving up on a team because of a player are Fantasy football fans. They would rather root for their Football fantasy players then root for their favorite football team. They suck...

haha, I agree.

I play fantasy football but on non-live-drafts I exclude all AFC East players because I just cannot root for them when they're playing the Dolphins or when our playoff hopes are on the line. I am also guilty of putting Phin players much higher on my rankings than is prudent.

People who make comments like that are usually taling out of the side of their mouth. I'm a born and raised Dolphins fan and I stick with my team through thick and thin. It used to easy being a Dolphin fan, they always won. This down time is weeding out the fair weather fans. To them I say good riddence. This team is going to turn it around. The turn around starts with the first game against the Jets when we pound them into submission in the very hot South Florida sun and knock Brett out of the game.

LOL...you stay a fan for the past decade, but are giving up on the Dolphins now, when they finally seem to be moving in the right direction? So you would have stayed a fan if McCown was starting but now that it is Pennington, you are done? Ok, just don't come back when the Fins are good again!

Pennington, McCown, Beck, or whoever starts the first game of the year doesn't really matter. The GUY is Henne. When they think he is ready, he'll be in there. The bottom line is that Pennington is better right now then anyone else on the roster.

Any body still here and positive , even after last years cluster f--K, are true dolphin fans. ~~~ GO FINS ~~~

I bleed aqua and teal. Every Sunday no matter what the record, my butt will be in the recliner watching the fins. I will always believe no matter how bad the circumstances that the Dolphins will pull out a win.

"miami dolphins, miami dolphins, miami dolphins number 1!"
just without, "throwing the ball from goal to goal, like no one has ever seen."
haha

look...if you wanna throw in the towel on the Phins, then throw it in...I dont know what gave you the idea that other EXSISTING Finfans would care....in other words,I think not only us,but the Fin's will be just fine without you...theres really no need to "announce" your quiting on the team...infact,I really dnt know why youd want to say that on a Dolf fan website anyway....:err:

hmmm...... you should bleed Aqua, Coral since those are the official team colors. but i agree with you every year and every game is going to be great.

It's not the guy who started this thread who is talking about quitting. He's pointing out others who are making the, "I quit" comments. Thunderdan is supporting the Fins.

All those fairweather fans will be back as things come together. Haven't even played a game yet and they're moaning and walking away. Don't let the screen door hit you in the butt. Just wish we could lock the door.
