It is obvious that Henne could be out at least awhile if not the season. That the Fins FO has not signed another QB to join the roster is an absolute embarrassment to the franchise and utter neglect. By bumming around for the last few days, a potential QB missed out on at least three days of work (and counting) learning the new system.

I do not think it is crazy for a vet QB like a David Garrard to want some guaranteed cash. Pay him. If not, bring in another guy like Kellen Clemens or Jake Delhomme that at least knows the system. Maybe Troy Smith.

What ever it is it stinks of ****-runned operation.

I agree we do need to pick someone up, but I really don't get that statement ^^^

devlin should know the plays by now season is toast anyways..

what part of 0-4 the seasons OVER doesnt make sense to you??? wtf would we sign a veteren QB like garrard and pay him $5 million plus so that he can come in and steal one or two wins and jeopardize the future if he isnt a part of future plans???

does that even make ANY sense at all????

the easy short answer is, they are tanking the season.. thats fine with me.. IMHO this season is turning out far worse than the 2007 season.

Delhomme and Clemens played for Daboll. Smith did not, but he has at least started games in the league. Sorry, that was not clear.

Why are you paying David Garrard 5 million? LOL! Where has that ever came up?

Good thing you are not the GM. We would be in cap jail.

Tanking the season is not an option. You have to have integrity to the game and play it as hard as you can. IF the Fins end up being the worst team so be it.

"Suck for Luck" is something we can talk about and dream of. However, if you are running a team, you have an obligation to the organization to compete.

thats flat out ignorant dude. any qb brought in now is simply a band aid. u think garrard is gonna sign for peanuts? $5 million is an arbitrary number (u can look it up) but i promise u the guy wouldnt sign for cheap. hes a starting NFL qb, and he wouldnt jeopardize future earnings or his health, or an opportunity to catch on with another team next year for a small sum. he was scheduled to make $8 million this year. i promise u he wouldnt sign somewhere for half that.

Let it Die! Hasn't this FO done enough already. These guys have no clue WTH they are doing!

Future earnings? He is 33 years old. Better get paid soon....not getting any younger.

BTW, your logic does not make a lot of sense. FIRST you say that Garrard will not sign for "peanuts", but later you say he can sign next year for a "small sum" with another team. Peanuts and small sum sound the same to me.

In the end, if you want to defend Jeff Ireland and this regime, go ahead.

Let me prefice what I'm about to say with the statement that I agree with you.

But... Garrard is holding out for more money than he's worth. Delhomme wants guaranteed money, and more money than he's worth.

Clemens I agree with, I don't know why we haven't signed him yet. Or at least brought Devlin up from the practice squad.
