Manning can´t groom anyone...his talent is unique and unteachable, did you see Curtis Painter this year???

Hahahaha, EXACTLY.

Manning is the easy way out for the front office. While I'm not a big RGIII fan he is a choice for the future. Manning is a choice for ticket sales and a short term fix

I agree with you brother. That is what I have been saying for weeks. This fascination of Mannung must stop. Let's make a deal now and get out franchise QB. If we don't do it now, we will be looking for another QB in 2-3 years max.

The Manning frenzy is sickening. All of the people that have been complaining about not having a franchise QB are ok with Manning being a quick fix and ignoring the future.

What's that quote about insanity...................

What on earth is wrong with having your team possibly win for a few years with Manning? As if taking some unproven QB in the draft or FA is some golden ticket to our "future." The next 3 years are our future too. I want them to be good as well. I'm not buying the BS that having Manning for a few years sets back the franchise.

"All" it will take to trade up to the number two spot is 2 #1 picks.........

Statement doesn't make sense ... the range of value of #1 picks is huge. Would take good picks with high value.

Man what are you smoking? you want the team to upgrade but you don't mind if they can't compete just right away, they will not compete in the division if a rookie QB starts the season behind center. They can steal get a QB for the future, remember there aren't many Franchise QBs out there.

When they say it will take two first round picks, does that mean the #8 pick we'll swap plus next years first round? Or does that mean the swap, plus our next two first rounders? If it's the former I'll take it in a heartbeat and even the latter I would give it consideration. Not like the Dolphins have consistently struck gold with their early draft picks when you look at our history of grabbing guys like Ginn Jr, Jason Allen, Pat White, John Beck, Henne, etc.

I'd rather Manning "groom" Tannehill at #8 than give up 2 1st rounders.

I'm with you. I'd love to see us snag Tannehill and let him sit behind Manning and learn for 3 seasons. I thnk that kid can be one heck of a QB.

It's not so much Manning grooming a young QB as it is the young QB learning from Manning's work ethic, how he breaks down game film, what he studys in team meetings, learning how he reads defenses, practice habits, etc. Manning doesn't need to say a word to a young QB, and he can still learn a TON from Manning.

This +1

Peyton is like Neo in the Matrix when it comes to breaking down the weakness in a defences alignment. Only a select few if any can have that ability, it's something you either have or don't and can't really be taught.

According to ESPN Peyton manning is a free agent ;o

 Nice one.

Of course all it will take is 2 #1 picks to trade up to get RGIII. Thats because no one wants to trade up to get him. Cleveland knows they can have him at pick #4 if they really want him. Washington and Miami are trying to sign a guy that is a 4 time league MVP. I wont be shocked if Cleveland signs Flynn in the case we get Manning and Washington can sit tight at 6 and still get RGIII. Too much hype. The Rams wanted that RGIII hype. If he were anywhere near as good as the hype, St Louis would draft him themselves.

Lets see....... 4 time league MVP for nothing but the contract itself or trade valuable picks and sign a big contract for an overhyped high potential bust like RGIII. Tough choice. :rolleyes2:

Not to mention it's been pretty clear he has no interest in "grooming" a younger QB. That's not to say we shouldn't draft one later in the draft or within the next couple of years, but don't expect Peyton to "teach him all he knows." He'll be too busy winning championships.
