So last week a fan favorite pro bowler was traded as Gase wanted to hold the players accountable for not doing the work off the field. The same things needs to be done to the personal dept...

If you look at our past three drafts, 2 years trades, andpast 2 years free agents it’s appauling.

Drafts: Cedric Thompson, Jamil Douglas, Carroo, Grant, Doughty, Duarte, Lucas, Asiata, Ford, have all been complete failures, as nothing positive can be said. That 40% of the 22 picks we made completely wasted.

Lippett, Philips, McCain, Howard, and Tunsil, are all in significant roles, but have been underwhelming at best, and are flirting with bust status. This takes up to 14 of 22 or 63% poor draft choices.

Parker will be just out side of that group, as he hasn’t lived up to top 15 pick we spent on him, but his stats are solid for a #2 wr.

Then you have Tanksey, Godchaux, and Taylor, who seem to be out performing where they were picked.

The 1 pro bowler of three years of drafting is Jay Ajayai, and he was traded to Philly.

I’ll leave Harris and McMillian off, but Harris is streaming towards wasted pick.

15 of 20 picks misses, and our one big hit our coach couldn’t figure out how to use.

Our whole scouting dept, needs to be looked at, and all personal choices need to be taken away from Gase, And Mike and Grier have to go.

I’ll look at free agents and trades later, but it’s worse than the draft.

It was a red flag to me when Adam Gase called out the players and said they weren't learning the playbook. I've honestly never heard that before in the NFL.

Still hopeful that Gase is the guy because you hate to start over every three years, but I'm not sure either way yet.

Personnel decisions are part of the issue, coaching is as well. I still come back to the offensive line, though. If this unit was just NFL average we may not be having this conversation. Ajayi may still be here and the team could be a serious playoff contender even with Cutler at quarterback.

That's not to say the team doesn't have other needs, but none is bigger than the offensive line.

Everything the Dolphins franchise needs to be successful is going to be right there waiting for them this off season.

There are some truly brilliant young minds out there that will be available to sign as GM's. There are several choices for a new head coach that will be there that are a lock to bring more success than Gase.

These schemes we are running are an abomination. You replace them with new coaches who have a fresh vision and perspective and you do what you need to do to clear the way for the new guys to have the personnel to run their systems and schemes the way they want to.

Trades and cap casualties. Trade down in the draft and get more picks and build a solid foundation of young players going forward that fit the schemes the new coaches are running. Action must be taken.

RT , Cutler, Moore, and Gase show need to go away and a whole new system put in place. Burke, and his crap defense need to be a joke somewhere else.

Ross really needs to sell if there is a buyer willing to bail him out.

Free agents:

2016: Mario Williams, Jason Jones, Andre Branch, Isa Abdul, Bushrod, and Arian Foster were signed. 50%(William, Foster, Jones) were epic failures who were weren’t on the final 53 due to poor play. Isa wasn’t awful but wasn’t good, bushrod has been in the bottom 25% of NFL guards, and Branch out performed his 2016 deal, but is a complete failure as we broke the bank for him this year and he has been invisable. That is a lot of money in dead cap and 0% sucses rate.

2017: Timmons, Ted Larson, jay Cutler, TJ McDonald, Maluga, and resigned Stills And Branch. I don’t think much needs to be said a lot of money and very little production.

If a new gm comes aboard, Gase is a gonner. If he stays and Tannenbaum leaves I'll throw a party.looking at another off-season with that Bum calling the shots and spending loot will be a hard pill to swallow.

The team is a mess. DC is green and not good. Offensive Line coach was a coke-head. Top FA signing literally disappeared before game 1. Gase can't motivate his top players. It's horrible.

Personally, I think the players were motivated the first few games. The two daggers to the emotional heart were Cutler and the subsequent lack of points, and Gase as OC. Not sating the team would otherwise be 7-2, but close losses would have kept the motivation alive.

Trades:

The trades we have completed would be stringiny bad for most, but when look at the draft and free agency it’s complete on par.

Kiko and Maxwell to move down 5 spots in the draft. This has got worse and worse. Maxwell is gone and cost us about 16 million in cap space in 2 years, and he didn’t play 16 games. Kiko had a decent 2016, but we made a tragic mistake os diving him, and he is in the bottom 25% in the NFL of all LBs, and has been a liability in coverage. We didn’t give up much, but lost so much cap space for horrible play.

Jamar Taylor to the Browns for a 7th. Last year Jamar was the most improved CB according to PFF. He is a starting CB in the NFL, and we got next to nothing.

3rd, 4th, and 6th to MN to pick Carroo. In 2 years Carroo has only 3 more receptions than draft picks given up. Monumental fail.

7th round pick to Jacksonville for Julious Thomas. A very expensive TE who is complete bust. It’s hard to get a failing grade when you only give up a 7th, but this staff did it.

Branden Albert to Jacksonville for a 7th. We won this, but not a huge gain.

Stephone Anthony to The Saints for a 5th round pick. Anthony has not been active in any of the 6 games, so we just conceded a 5th round pick and took on his salary as charity.

Jay Ajayi to Philly for a 4th round pick. Pro bowl rb who has a 5th round salary given away for a late pick. If we knew he didn’t fit the scheme should have traded him for 2nd or 3rd rd in the 2017 draft when his stock was higher.

The point is all three phases of acquiring players has been insanely below average, and we have one of the highest total salary in the NFL. How there hasn’t been repercussions is insane. This is going to take years to over come, and the sad thing is these geniuses are more than likely going to get another year to destroy this roster.

That stephone Anthony trade for a 5th round pick was such a knee jerk move. Such a horrible trade.

And like you said, the worst part of it is that we gave away so many guarantee contracts that we can't even cut the dead weight because of the cap but Ross will keep t-dumb and he'll tell us that we're moving in the right direction

Ozzy rules!!

Anybody that watches our last 3 games and says that we're moving in the right direction likes to take naps on railroad tracks. In other words their crazy! This team is in a free fall and I have no idea what the bottom is. Cutler was a big mistake and Gase stubbornly and stupidly stands by him 100%. That right there is death. We can't win with Cutler and the Coach either can't see it or won't see it. I think Gase outsmarted himself this time. Cutler, Thomas, Bushrod.....none of these guys can play anymore. This is today's NFL and Cutler isn't Peyton Manning by a long shot and Thomas isn't a starting tight end in this league and Bushrod should have retired at the end of last season. Gase also traded away our Pro Bowl RB for a ham sandwich. Bad move after bad move will eventually sink the ship. THE FANS OF THIS FRANCHISE ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS INFERIOR AND BORING PRODUCT!!!! GET IT FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS PROUD FRANCHISE DESERVES EXCELLENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Threads like this are why the offseason is so intolerable around here. Right now we are reality based. But all of that is washed and adjusted away once the season ends. One rationalization after another. Suddenly our roster doesn't resemble its true self at all. We are told we would have had this record or that record if X or Y happened.

And it will unfold that way again in a few months. Guaranteed. The truths from this OP will be shoved aside as somehow our talent level blooms to a level we haven't actually seen in more than a decade.
