The turnaround began when they started running hills together in the offseason. No more cliques, a group of Miami Dolphins players decided; they wanted to turn traditional workouts into team-bonding activities. They made sure to hang with each other -- offense and defense.

This subtle change was vastly different than the 2017 Dolphins. There’s a lot here that’s vastly different than the 2017 Dolphins.

There’s no face of this Dolphins team, and that’s intentional. Gone is Ndamukong Suh, once the NFL’s highest-paid defender who brought with him a reputation of toeing and often crossing the line. Gone is Jarvis Landry, the NFL’s 2017 leader in receptions who became Miami’s emotional center -- for better or worse.

I'm hoping for the 01 Patriots. Lets face it, nobody thought that team was that good. I know for **** sure I didn't. But I don't want to get ahead of myself (which I am). 3-0 is really nothing to get too excited over, lots of football to be played. It's like the yahoo's who start getting excited about the #1 overall pick at 0-5 or 0-6. WAY TOO EARLY.

“It’s when you have one guy here, one guy there not on the same page as the team vision, that’s when you have problems,” Gase said. “We’ve had that. We don’t anymore.”

Gase wanted his guys now he has them and so far it's successful. Rid the team of me first players and you then have a TEAM.

When the offseason started I was pissed until we signed Amendola and Wilson. At that point I understood what Gase was trying to do although I wasn't sure it would work. So far it's working, lots of ball to play though. Even if we aren't great this year this plan will come together. As the needs diminish the team can be selective and end up with smart, hard working, high character and TALENTED players. I think it's a good plan.

Give Gase credit. He said he was going to change the culture, and so far it looks like he's delivered.
To his credit, he has changed the culture. A lot of ppl "say" they are going to do it, but it takes will.

Next up, a "winning" culture.

Not for nothing but in 2006 when Italy won the World Cup they probably didn't have as much talent as say Brazil or Germany but they played as a team. Every single player on that team got to play other than the 2 back up GK as Buffon played every game. Everyone on that team got to contribute. Yes I'm part Italian so I like talking about that WC but I'm comparing what they did to what the Dolphins are doing this year. Play as a team and have different players make plays when they're needed instead of thinking that a TD is bad unless you're the one who got it. That high 5 shows you how happy these guys are for each other and that's how you build winning teams.
