For the past I don't know how long, but it seems like forever... we have watched good players be wrecked by bad coaching, only to see them go somewhere else and be productive. Does anyone else think it's a coincidence that since Gase has been here, the whole culture and attitude has changed? And I realize this is his first full offseason here, but does anyone doubt that if it wasn't for him, we would be watching guys like stills and branch leave?

This is MASSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are clearly a different team with a different culture and a Coach who is awesome and loved by his players. Last year at this time we were losing Lamar Miller, Richard Mathews and Olivier Vernon and basically saying goodbye to talent that we drafted, groomed and were important pieces to future success. Of course, Vernon was overpaid imo but the point is that today we resigned 2 very important pieces from last years turnaround. Stills, with 9TDs was getting a lot of love out there and Branch was solid last season and now he'll be back and motivated to rock and roll in a system he knows. This is how to build a winning tradition, it feels great. Timmons is coming to potentially help us at LBer and FA is far from done. I think we'll still nab a Guard and maybe a Safety or CB. I really like this team and where it's going and I'm proud of my Fins right now! This is a good day!

I thought that these two posts should be merged.... and I 100% agree with what was said

Adam Gase is a force of nature and he is single handedly rebuilding the Miami Dolphins from a dumpster fire into a winning organisation

Agreed with above and somewhat shell shocked cause we have been a cluster for so long. I hope to god we do well this year and keep growing and getting better. After a rough start Gase pulled it together and we made the playoffs. Our front office seems to be gelling and we can take the brown bags off our heads (loan them to your fav Jets fan). Lets keep on moving in the right direction. In Gase we trust!

I agree that Gase has changed the culture. I'm absolutely delighted that Kenny Stills re-signed. He stretches the field and Gase has learned how to make him a weapon for Tannehill.
So much for Armando's confident prediction that Kenny would depart Miami attracting $12M+ per season elsewhere. He signed for $32M over 4 years and wanted to stay a Dolphin. Now let's fill in some other FA pieces tomorrow. Fins up!

Armando thought it would be a stretch for him to go from playing in the dome and Miami to Chilly Philly.

The team isn't a different culture yet, but I think Gase is at least heading in the right direction. More importantly he realizes that we are not 1 or 2 or players away from making any serious noise in the league, so he is taking his time and adding pieces along the way for the future. The days of giving trunk fulls of money for the next big time FA is hopefully and mercifully over. Lock up your home grown talent with long term contract and build your team over the next couple of years through the draft and young free agents with upside. I think Gase has more say than we might imagine, but more importantly he is strategic......at least I hope so.

I still get creeped out a little every once in a while when he looks kinda like Putin ... but other than that, I'm a huge Gase fan.

Dude is everything we've wanted in a coach. He's a take-charge, honest, ass-kicking, braniac, man-child, coaching prodigy. He does everything the right way, and he makes you proud to be a Dolphin. And, everyone keeps saying he's the smartest person in any room he enters. His players follow him into war, never giving up. So yeah, I think he has changed the culture, the team, and the franchise's future. I'm completely on-board the Gase train.

Agree with all the posters that are making pro Gase statements.....u could tell he had a conviction from minute number one in the offseason about Stills, did not want to lose him, and wanted to add TE that would add to vertical game, all of a sudden quietly and systematically we are doing that......love the moves so far....hope Timmons signs with the dolphins, and then onward to Guard, nose tackle and safety.......and eventually the draft that could be a gold mine for Dolphins this year if done properly.......

I think it says enough about Gase when K. Stills tells his agent he wants to stay in Miami. I don't want to get too confident but I do love the feeling of change going on with Miami.

Adam Gase is still the biggest signing the dolphins have made in a very very long time.

The loyalty they have shown to all these players (Wake, Kiko, jones, Stills, Branch and Landry) is a huge relief for the franchise. When you look at some of the greatest dynasties in football you see continuity from the top of the roster down. Look at how New England kept that team together from 2001-2009 without any huge drop-off. They have to stay the course.

I'm hoping Gase is the perfect man to keep T Baum in check but I still nervously wait

 if it makes you feel any better - Putin is an utter dick but from his pov you cant say he doesnt get results....personally I don't really see the resemblance all that clearly

Kenny Stills returning to the Dolphins is a major victory for coach Adam Gase who has struck up a special relationship with the WR.

The value of the Dolphins not bleeding talent Wednesday is that now something has been established. A line has been drawn in the sand that the team can point to as its signature approach for doing business from now on.

The Dolphins are keeping their own players, something they’ve chosen not to do in the past, and they’re doing it while those players took less money to be in Miami than elsewhere. The Dolphins showed their own players love. And the players made the affair a mutual one.

That, my friends, is a reputation builder.

That is a locker room builder.

That is a win for the Miami Dolphins.

Think of it, Stills, I’m told, decided to stay in Miami before actually testing the open market and knowing that he was turning his back on at least one bigger offer. So he made a life decision that said to the rest of the NFL, “I want to be a Miami Dolphin more than I want to chase bigger money somewhere else.”

But don’t believe me, listen to Stills say it: “The fact is I wanted to be back here with this team and I thought we’re building something special. And so that’s why I’m back.”

This is a reason I don't get the anger at Mike T. HC is the most important signing of the front office, and Mike nailed it. Adam is completely changing the fait of this franchise, and creating an atmosphere players want to be in. Yet, Dolphins hate him because he traded a 3rd and 4th for a WR. No one wants to look at the great deal he he brookererd for 2 defensive leaders to move down in the draft a few spots.
