I was just watching the NFL Network and the NFL will be meeting to discuss whether NFL players will be allowed to wear their hair past their name tags on their jerseys. Many NFL execs don't want to see guys like Troy Palumalu being pulled down by the hair. They feel it is a safety issue.

They also said they may shorten the exhibition season or add a regular season game. Shefter also said they might use the preseason record of teams to break tie breakers.

Making preseason records count is retarded. It defeats the whole purpose.

Banning long hair because its a safety issue is stupid too. Palumalu is a grown man. He can decide if its worth the risk.

Agree with this whole post. Nice.

The long hair seems to be the latest thing that scares the Good Ole' Boy owners (joining celebrations, taunts, personal expressions). Can't wait 'til we have a more a progressive mentality in the league office...

I would go along with a shorter preseason and having the results count as a playoff tiebreaker. You pay full price for the games, might as well have 'em count for something.

i'll go along with the pre season games counting for something, although i dont mind getting rid of a preseason game and get another regular season game that will probably go towards expanding the nfl in europe or other parts of the world, im not too bothered about the long hair its up to the player themselves

If they plan on doing that, they screwed up already by getting rid of the NFL Europa. I actually liked it and thought it was good to fall back on it during offseason. I like the whole World Bowl and got to see some Dolphins play that we dont see here. I even saw my boy Jarret Payton play good there, I was very excited for him.

Good to see that he's gone on to glory in Canada:

Other than all the old Canes who never stuck in the NFL, Europa did not hold my interest.
