On phone cant post link. Schefter just said to expect the phins to have Elvis on their radar. He says Nolan brings plenty of info on the 3-4 & impending FA Elvis Dumerville

CBA or no CBA Dumerville won't be a UFA so it would cost quite a bit to get him.

Dumerville is garbage against the run. He's totally useless against the run and teams will be running right at him for big gains.

Porter is a lot better than Dumerville is against the run, and we all know how much Porter sucks against the run.

Parcells' OLB's are always 6'3 to 6'6, on the taller and bigger side. I do not see this FO giving a lot of money or trading for an OLB who is short and small, and is so terrible against the run

It's one of the reasons the Broncos run defense ranked so poorly. They gave up almost 600 yards rushing in two games against the Chiefs and Raiders.. Most of those accounted for running to the short and small 5"11 OLB

The NT's on the Broncos are terrible. That is who is to blame on that one.

Sorry, you're wrong bro.. Dumerville gets blocked into the stands against the run. He is putrid against the run.

Don't even try to come on this board and say Dumerville is ok against the run, because he is not. He is PATHETIC. A lot worse than Porter is against the run

And Porter is bad

It is very well known Dumerville will not be an UFA. Schefter makes note since drafted Dumerville has more sacks then number 1 overall pick Mario Williams with 43. He also says Elvis is from Miami & played MIami Jackson.

On a side note Schefter is the best in the business and He knows Dumerville is not UFA, him posting probably means the fins are willing to trade

ESPN's Adam Schefter suggests that impending restricted free agent OLB Elvis Dumervil will be on the Dolphins' radar this offseason.
The connection with Mike Nolan is obvious, as Dumervil enjoyed a career year under the Fins' new defensive boss in 2009. Dumervil also is from Miami. While the Broncos surely will want to retain the 26-year-old NFL sacks leader, coach Josh McDaniels abides by the ideology that any player is trade-able. The Dolphins' No. 12 overall pick could probably get it done.

It really doesn't make much sense, like grey said Dumerville it pretty bad against the run. We already have a pass rush specialist in Cam Wake, and with some decent coaching he can be formidable against the run.

no thanks, bring in dansby

We were 3rd in the NFL with 44 sacks last season.

This team doesn't need a guy who can sack the QB, we need players to help out in the secondary, AKA a new free safety (praying for OJ Atogwe) and some LB help. We're actually good at stopping the run, and we are good at pass rushing, the problem is we aren't good right now in coverage. We need coverage help, and Dumervill isn't the answer to the Dolphins problems right now.

I know I'll get the argument that "getting to the QB helps get the QB to make poor decisions yadyadayada thus helping in coverage, but that wasn't apparent last year. I understand we have young CB's, but they didn't get much help from either our LB's or safeties. We saw the TE's get open way too much last year and WR's burn us way too much. Lets look at guys like Karlos Dansby and OJ Atogwe before we think about a more accomplished Cameron Wake.

I'm tired of OLB's the can only rush the passer. I want that OLB that can rush the passer and play well against the run.

We will not give up our #12 for Dumervil. That's just ridiculous.
